Sometimes I read to the end of a 50 page thread, and kick back a moment to enjoy that warm-fuzzy feeling of accomplishment.
Then I click refresh and see that the thread ballooned to 70 pages while I was warm-fuzzying.

Yep. The "alphas" of the wolf packs were just the parents. "Alpha wolves" do not exist, so "alpha humans/males" definitely do not.
