More likely it bodes ill for the poor parrots and their growing addiction to personal electronics. This reeks of one of those "just because you can do a thing doesn't mean you should" situations.

Agreed. The first thing I thought of when seeing this is laser pointers and cats, which tends to make the cats neurotic.
