Let me state this very simply: There wasn't supposed to be any conflict between them. He was looking for her to take custody of the child he's very fond of, and she's not too stupid to recognize a child of Yoda's race. You're asking for a bunch of needless crap to be added for some manufactured drama. This episode was about relationships, not conflict. All the conflict was for was to be a vehicle for narration.I enjoyed the mood and look of the episode, plus it was fun to see a live action Ahsoka. But the writing was the weakest in this entire season. A few things bothered me:
There was no tension or conflict. There was never any doubt that Mando would work together with Ahsoka, or that either one of them was in any danger. Some sort of conflict between Mando and Ahsoka would really have given this episode some stakes.
