Oof, sad to see her go... but not sad considering what she spouted on social media. And how stupid of her. Just keep your dumb opinions to yourself if you want to keep your job. I totally understand Disney dropping her immediately.
Wasn't immediately it's been several months.

Thoughts? Does anyone even remember this character from Rogue One?
Of course! I liked Cassian. I wonder if K-2S0 will be in the show as well.Meanwhile...

You want to be very careful making comments about the holocaust and related topics in Hollywood, and even more-so when your working for Lucasfilm and Disney (the latter of which has been trying to distance itself from allegations and rumors of Walts supposed antisemitism and racially stereotyped earlier films for decades). But her remarks about the election being stolen, and comparing her political views to what happened to the Jews during WWII, I have no tolerance for that. Especially considering what it all lead to. She also said Jeffrey Epstein didn't kill himself... which well... I'm not prone to conspiracy thinking, but that death was the most suspicious and convenient death ever. So I don't find that a controversial thing to say at all. Still, probably something you should keep to yourself if you're in the spotlight.
It is pretty short sighted of her, given the fact that she really wanted to leave MMA and break into show business. Her role on The Mandalorian was a dream come true. What a way to ruin all that good will.
He's got a new show on sci-fi,so that makes sense.Of course! I liked Cassian. I wonder if K-2S0 will be in the show as well.
EDIT: Apparently not right away. From Wookieepedia: "Although Alan Tudyk was initially announced to play K-2SO in the series, he later clarified in January of 2021 that while production was underway, he was not going to appear in the first season. He did, however, expect to be brought into the fold in later seasons."

Maybe I am missing the whole text that she wrote(and this was kind of in bad taste), she never said anything against the Jews. You want to be very careful making comments about the holocaust and related topics in Hollywood, and even more-so when your working for Lucasfilm and Disney (the latter of which has been trying to distance itself from allegations and rumors of Walts supposed antisemitism and racially stereotyped earlier films for decades).
She didnt go full Mel Gibson, but sheesh. She shoulda known better.
No, she was comparing and conflating the criticism and censorship of views on COVID denial, transphobia, elections being 'stolen' and similar stuff you find commonly spruiked on Parler and 4Chan and similar sites ('Alt-right' type views) with the persecution of the Jews by the Nazis.Maybe I am missing the whole text that she wrote(and this was kind of in bad taste), she never said anything against the Jews
When you dehumanise someone, you make it easy for others to harm them.
As I am currently at work with the (frakking) mask on, and I'm getting my vaccine ASAP, I am not a COVID denier, however, people should not be censored for they opinion on the subject. No, she was comparing and conflating the criticism and censorship of views on COVID denial, transphobia, elections being 'stolen' and similar stuff you find commonly spruiked on Parler and 4Chan and similar sites ('Alt-right' type views) with the persecution of the Jews by the Nazis.
The reality is (of course) that it was people who share those same very right wing views that were responsible for the holocaust in the first place.
Her comments were no-where near as bad as Mel Gibsons virulent antisemitism, but of all places to say that kind of ignorant shit, Hollywood is the last place you want to be doing it.
This is a woman that dehumanized trans people wither her 'Beep/ Bop/ Boop' comment remember?
Recast her with Lucy Lawless whose social media reception has been on the upswing.Still might be, just with her part recast. Kinda sad to see her go I thought she was good in the role, not sure exactly what she said, and don't really care to, but must have been pretty bad.
She wasn't censored. She wasn't punished by the government - she was held accountable by an employer who chose to end that relationship because of her statements. Bottom line, don't try to compare yourself with Holocaust victims when the opinions you're spouting and getting criticized for are shared by violent racists and anti-Semites.As I am currently at work with the (frakking) mask on, and I'm getting my vaccine ASAP, I am not a COVID denier, however, people should not be censored for they opinion on the subject.
maybe Americans are just mad that out of 350 million people their choice was Biden or Trump![]()
And yes, this. My spouse and I were just saying this last night. Or maybe Xena can be a similar but different Ranger of the New Republic.Recast her with Lucy Lawless whose social media reception has been on the upswing.
That's... that's... brilliant, man!Recast her with Lucy Lawless whose social media reception has been on the upswing.
