I still want iconic class spells to be class-specific, including Eldritch Blast caring only about Warlock levels and Sorcerous Burst caring about Sorcerer levels, and Divine Smites only able to be used by Paladin spell slots. Those three classes are bad for each other.Hmm, one level dip for EB (no longer tied to warlock level), a short rest spell and an invocation, then take 19 levels of sorcerer. Sign me up. Coffeelocks are back and better than ever!

Agreed. I would like to see a lot of these invocations changed to "You have this spell effect continuously active on you. It can't be dispelled."I’ll certainly be saying this come survey time.
Yes, the multiclass rules are still a hot mess.Hmm, one level dip for EB (no longer tied to warlock level), a short rest spell and an invocation, then take 19 levels of sorcerer. Sign me up. Coffeelocks are back and better than ever!

When UA 5 came out you were quite insistent that short rest recovery of class’ primary was completely off the table, and that I was being obtuse in saying that they had made no such claim in the accompanying video. I brought the matter back up when they mentioned in the UA 5 feedback video that pact magic would be returning, and you still insisted that the returning version of pact magic would use some other recovery mechanism than short rest, and said you would apologize for berating me about it earlier if it did turn out to be short rest based. Now not only are pact magic and monk discipline points short rest based, but Crawford explicitly said in the UA 7 video that they’re trying to give all classes more reasons to want to short rest.I am wrong far too often to know which thing I was wrong about this time without clarification.
It technically requires the ability to not sleep which there are a few species (warforged, reborn, etc) that do that.True coffeelock requires Aspect of the Moon, which doesn’t appear here, but is still available via backwards compatibility unless banned by the DM.
Fair enoughIt technically requires the ability to not sleep which there are a few species (warforged, reborn, etc) that do that.
