The Order of the Stick meets a terrible Foe

My two cents:

My take on Durkon is that he realized that Blue Cloak is good aligned and he gave up in order to parlay.

Is Blue Cloak "just" a paladin? What's that Stunning Kick?

You know, nothing keeps a Paladin from taking the "Stunning Fist" feat and then applying some different flavor text to it. Since the character already has a Wakizashi and a Kodachi, a Stunning Kick adds to the oriental feel.

Also, the horse could just be the special mount of a paladin.

As to the dual-wielding... that's just another feat chain.

I think we're not looking at anything more complex than a rather high-level Paladin that has chosen feats and weapons to give it a special "feel". A Ring of Evasion takes care of the fireball, especially with the Divine Grace to power the saving throw.[/sblock]

I think that the paladin was sent after the wrong folks. Looks like the right folks would have been the Linear Guild. And thank God she didn't Smite Evil Belkar, or this mess would never be sorted out.

Well, my personal theory is:
She's definitely a paladin, and either has a prestige class or a few levels of monk. Heck, the asian weapons may just be short-hand for: 'I'm from Oriental Adventures, so I don't have to worry about monk multiclassing restrictions!' :)

As for WHY she's attacking them: I'm guessing that their problems with the first gate may have had nasty repurcussions. Maybe they really ARE guilty, even if they didn't know it.

[sblock]Any reason everyone is posting in spoiler blocks? It's not like the strip isn't accessable to anyone who wants to check it out.[/sblock]

I did it for those who haven't read the strip yet but come read this thread first. :)

[sblock]Plus all the cool kids do it.[/sblock]

I think we may just be looking at a monk/paladin (with the appropriate feat to let her multi-class). Rich had been promising the first multiclassed character would appear for a while.

Definitely a great issue #200.
