Beamer is not eager to trust anyone, but events already seem to be spinning out of control. Since it is clear that this innkeeper is not allied with those Beamer is seeking, he decides to take a bit of a risk. Pulling the innkeeper over a bit so as to avoid prying ears, Beamer asks more directly than the previous conversations, "Do you know any more than we have discussed about who Idrag might be dealing with? And does he have any major hangouts besides the main guard barracks?"

We'll have to make contact with whoever helped us out in the fight.

OOC: I believe Beamer fired 2 crossbow bolts.

The inkeeper is impatient of helping to save his own business, but stops enough to answer: "Idrag again? Sounds like if you´re going after him. Sure, it´s about time, but my sincere advice: do not. I can´t help you much but it´s not a secret that idarg likes to spend the nights in the Passiflora."

"It´s a whorehouse." clarifies after a while.

ooc: I think that´s correct, two bolts.

While he avoided direct confrontation, the lower profile he hopefully maintained by staying hidden could be usefull in an investigation based adventure. He may only have taken a single point of nonlethal damage, and his observations from outside the inn may not have amounted to much, but he still participated in the encounter.

ooc: I have no problem discussing my rulings and I encourage you to do so. If staying out of combat brings opportunities for Banion, he´ll have the chance to earn experience thanks to them. And while he was in danger, he did not participate in the fight by his own choice, putting on the armor and taking the long route, when IMO there were other choices available. It´s a small cut, however, and it won´t matter too much in the whole of the adventure.

Weary after the fight, and light headed from the smoke inhalation, Draig props himself up against the wall, regaining his breath. He waves aside the innkeeper's thanks, "It was what needed doing," he says, simply.

"Holing up at your sisters sounds like a good idea. We'll need to pay a visit to the Passiflora later too. Where is it? Goes without saying, but I'd be grateful if you not mention this to other folk."

"Uh, I suppose so. Don´t tell my wife i told you how to arrive there, too." the innkeeper scratches his head. "The Passiflora is three streets north of the temple of Delanor; turn east, and maybe twenty yards from that spot you´ll find a low dorr with a red lantern. You can´t miss it."

After that, his younger son gides you through an increasingly narrow labyrinth of streets, arriving finally near the south wall. The short travel is steadily growing uneasy on Banion, who at this point makes a signal to stop and whispers: "I think someone is following us"

It was Banion's intention not to rejoin the group, unless needed for a fire brigaid or something. Instead, Banion would prefer to follow the group as stealthfully as possible. If he sees someone else following them, he'll let that person get ahead of him and start following them, hopefully remaining unseen.

At this point, Banion considers the party's cover to be blown, and is hoping to avoid letting people realize he is part of it.

Azaroth and Beamer are pretty familiar with Banion's tendency to remain hidden, and if possible he'll occasionally allow one or the other to catch sight of him, just so they know he's still around.

He won't make any special effort to let the party know they are being followed by anyone else, as he doesn't want to risk losing the advantage.

Banion: [sblock]Being separated from the party, it´s not hard for you remain out of sight, following them through the twisted path made by the streets. At some point the you realize you´re not the only one stealthily following the group, so he looks for a place to hide. The shadows lingering near a corner are deep enough for him; from this black as ink spot he watches a man passing by.

A short while after that, you arrive to destiny. Your companions to a house; the man watching the house and scratching his chin, maybe in doubt of what to do; and you watching them all.

The man (a human) dresses in black and is short and wiry, with short dark hair. You can´t see him carrying ay weapon.[/sblock]

The inkeeper´s son (not older than 12 years old) guides you a short while after the south wall, and finally stop before a four-story building. He knocks at the door and after a while it is opened ajar, and a stout man wielding a large club is seen behind it.

"Yes?" he commands.

Drugo looks to the man in the doorway, "We're were sent by this boy's father, the innkeeper at the Green Dove. We're looking for his sister. Is she home?"

"What´s the dwarf saying, Tarin?" says the guy with the club. "Oh, come on, don´t cry"

The young boy finally breaks down. "There was smoke everywhere, and dad said ´everyone get up! quickly, quickly!´ and we had to leave through the window. We saw fire in the inn´s common room, and these men fighting with some guys in black, who didn´t let anyone come down, and..." the boy sobs. "After tending mom and sis dad sent those men here so they could rest here."

The man´s face stretches when his eyebrows go up, and the relaxes in understanding. "I see." says, then steps out and searches the street, looking to both sides. "Let´s move inside. My name is Ollun, glad to meet you."

Inside, you tell Ollun and his wife what happened in the inn. "That thick headed idiot. I told him many times to forget his pride and pay. That´s what everyone does."

Draig looks at Ollun, "We won't be in your way for long, we've got business to attend to in the morning. Thanks for letting us stay."

OOC: I think you made a mistake in the post above - I'm assuming that this guy's name is Ollun, and we told him what happened to the innkeeper and his wife, not Ollun and his wife!
