Turning Specifics

Hi all.

How are people playing cleric's turning ability? Namely the range of cleric turning. In the PHB it mentions 60 ft. My question is how directionally. When a cleric turns, is it 60 ft radius around him or is it in the direction the cleric is facing or is it in some other fashion? The PHB talks about line of effect, but doesn't mention specifics in terms of direction. Thanks!

Range: You turn the closest turnable undead first, and you can’t turn undead that are more than 60 feet away or that have total cover relative to you. You don’t need line of sight to a target, but you do need line of effect.

So, it's a 60' emanation. 60' in all directions around the caster, blocked by walls as is normal for such things.

Line of Effect means that a straight line from the Turner (not Tina) to the creature does not pass through a wall, a door, etc.
