TURTLEDOME!: Battle Bone (DM: KenHood, Judge: Lord S.)

Great. Now I can't see for... the rest of the sentence trails off in a low mumble. Erlai shifts uncomfortably on Finnian's arm, shakes his wings, and hops down to the ground where he keep an eye on his master.

That's a good idea about capturing one of these rat things. Maybe if one of the old man's adventurer friends can see what it is, it will help him recover. Still, I've spent a lot of time in the woods and a few underground caverns, some with rats, and... well, I've no idea what is going on.

[sblock=Emral's Religion Check]Rat gods...

Rat devils...

Rat demons...

Rat spirits...

Ratification of dogma...

Nope. No paper rats.

...and now he's thinking of spirit creatures or outsiders that would want to reproduce inside someone's mind.
That is an interesting question. One fertile for consideration.

(Heh!)

You drift off considering the theological and teleological implications of it. Did the gods create man? Or did man's faith create the gods? And why are the priestesses of the love goddess such hussies?[/sblock]

[sblock=Finnian's Dungeoneering Check]Well...

You have seen rats in the woods, and in a few underground caverns.

And you're pretty doggone sure a paper rat wouldn't taste the same.[/sblock]

Well, I can't think of anything directly related. Not that anything really is, when you look at it. I mean, who I am, who we are, any of it. Astronomical likelihood that the five of us would meet up in a crazy world like this one, inside some demented wizard's mind, watching rodentomorphic personifications tear it all apart... to what, reproduce? Do they have minds of their own, will they continue when we capture one of them and sell it to my Master for dismemberment and arcane study? Or will they disolve when we remove one?
Makes you wonder why we're even here. I mean, do we have the right to stop some creature's life cycle like this, kill many lives to save the one? I don't know. Just... just a crazy, crazy world.
Emral rubs his fiery-glowing eye and sniffs, then coughs and clears his throat. His voice brightens, and when he smiles you can see his teeth gleam. Well, I guess we won't find out until we find out! Let's get close and try to chat!

"Kill! No talk. Rats no talk! Why stand here? Rats hurting man. We help man. Get magic thing-y. I no like talk."

I mean, do we have the right to stop some creature's life cycle like this, kill many lives to save the one?

[size=-2]I'd be willing to say a wholehearted yes and charge on...[/size], mumbles Hadarai under his breath, ready to react immediately at the first signs of violence.

ooc: I mean, wth? I hate rats even in RL...

ooc: can you tell us something about their appearance? like, are they all the same or some are bigger, larger, different...? How many of them are there approximately?
