TURTLEDOME!: Battle Bone (DM: KenHood, Judge: Lord S.)

[sblock=Kenhood]I'm assuming I can get free of the chest? If so I stand up and free Marco and his family, quietly urging them to stay back. (Oh, and I spent a healing surge awhile back right? So I'm good for now?). If at all possible I'll step out into the next room, surrounding myself with visible energy...:

Drivan steps into the front room, his robe shredded from his escape from the chest. It hangs from his waist, leaving his torso bare. Energy surrounds his body, sparks jumping from his upraised hands as he smiles grimly at those in the front room. "Told you this was a bad idea..."[/sblock]

Nope. You're free of the ropes, but not the chest. You're gonna have to do something about that!

(Oh, and I spent a healing surge awhile back right? So I'm good for now?)
Really?! I don't remember that at all...

Especiallly since I ASKED about it, and I don't think you ever responded in the positive...

Heh-heh!

Nah. I'll let you do it. You were at 1 Hit Point, so spend as many as you want. It's been a long, long time.

If at all possible I'll step out into the next room, surrounding myself with visible energy...
No, no. Not yet. Gotta do something about the chest. Then, the dramatic entrance.[/sblock]

[sblock=Kenhood]If I push against the chest does it give at all? If it feels like it might be locked I try and ask Marco where the lock is on the chest. If possible I use the dagger with a mage hand and marco's guidance to try and pry the lock off. And I'll spend enough healing surges to get back up to full hit points or as close as possible. Can't get to my profile right now for some reason to see what I have...[/sblock]

Vaunea come bursting through the door, axe and shield drawn.

"Save Drivan." she roars, in her most fearsome voice.

[sblock=Strength check and intimidate check]I don't know if I can do this, but I want to brash strike the door on my way through, in an attempt to weaken it with my axe before my shoulder hits...So, if I can, here are all of my rolls

Brash Strike: 26 to hit, 14 damage
Bull Rush: 13 to hit
Intimidate: 11
[/sblock]

Obviously, being tired has messed with Vaunea vocal capacity, for the roar is not as ferocious as she was hoping for. However, her eyes looks as if a fire has been lit behind them, as she fears for her friend's safety.

[sblock=KenHood]If I can't do all of this, let me know, and I'll edit this post.[/sblock]

Emral takes up an unlit branch, holds it to his head and ignites it into his own torch. Standing at the front of the crowd as they march on the shop, he calls out They have Drivan in there, and they have Marco and his family. Let us adventurers go in first. You guys cheer us on, and if you cheer loud enough, Marco and his family will be safe; the magic of the arena might work here, and help us win! It's worth a shot, right?

As Vaunea charges through the door, Emral waves the crowd to stand back. He then runs around back to find any rear doors, hoping to cut off anyone else's escapes, or to find a way in so he can release the halflings or open the chest Drivan is locked in.

ooc: Assuming Hadarai is under our tactical, if not RP, control: the Warlord follows the Minotaur, assessing the situation and barking out tactics. Starting with an extra basic attack for Vaunea, of course, for his at-will.

Go for the knees! His left flank is open, strike! Well done!

[sblock=OOC]Time to make a map! Give me a bit.

Reklaw, just have Drivan blast the chest with magic missiles. The walls will give before the chains and padlock do.[/sblock]

[sblock=Kenhood]Drivan blasts his way free of the chest. Standing up he picks up the dagger from the ground before running over to Marco and his family, who's ropes he cuts and if possible sends them out the back...
Stepping into the next room Drivan stands surrounded by a nimbus of crackling red energy. "I told you this was a bad idea... I think the best thing for you to do is lay down your weapons and surrender... It sounds like we've got you slightly outnumbered."[/sblock]

Still working on the map, but here's something y'all need to know...

Zombie Hadarai
In zombie mode, Hadarai has no free will. He will not engage in any actions unless directly ordered by another party member. The order can be general, "Attack that guy!" or "Heal me!"

If no one tells him to do something in a round, he won't act.
