TURTLEDOME!: Battle Bone (DM: KenHood, Judge: Lord S.)

D'oh! Bad roll!

Emral doesn't recognize the shoppe.

You can't see what they're selling from the vantage point of the curtain. As old, run-down, and boarded up as the shoppe looks, they're probably selling nothing. The only thing of note is the three balls of a pawn shop outside the door.

And that doggone halfling is STILL swiming underwater...

Emral shakes his fist at the halfling.

Oh well. It's a pawn shop, that much we do know. An empty one... Hey folks, anyone know of an empty pawn shop? Or one that looks like this? Heck, even one that's near Marco's house. If not, we'll have to chance tracking them; and I'm not sure we can track people through stone streets.

[sblock=party composition] that sucks about Hadarai. Should we see if someone wants to play the stats during the match? Or NPC him? If this were a long-term game (ie: another adventure with this same group, rather than a Living module) I'd say recruitment, but we've got one day after this one before we're in the arena itself, right?[/sblock]

"Vaunea track"

[sblock="Streetwise to recognize building"]If I can...

I have a plus 0. Invisible castle says "500 Internal Server Error"...if Ken wants to roll for me, I trust he'll do it. Just don't want to wait for the error to be gone.[/sblock]

[sblock=KenHood]I'll ask again......what does the pole look like right now? :D[/sblock]

Hey folks, anyone know of an empty pawn shop? Or one that looks like this?"Yeah. I knows tha' shoppe!" yells a drunken man in the bleachers.

"Vaunea track"
Streetwise result: 1d20=18

The halfling gets out of the water and rushes into the shadows near a street. Panting from exhaustion, he runs towards the shoppe.

And Vaunea recognizes the street...

In fact, she could lead the party there in about five minutes...

I'll ask again......what does the pole look like right now? :D
D'oh! Forgot to respond the first time! Sorry!

The Approvalometer's ring throb between high yellow and the first ring of green. Little red sparks in the shape of Hadarai's face dance around the pole.[/sblock]

The crowd screams its approval.

And follows the party into the street.

Somehow they manage to pick up torches and improvised weapons along the way.

[sblock=Drivan Only]After long, painful exertion, you manage to cut away the ropes binding your body. In the distance, you hear a door slam. In another room, you hear a muffled voice yell, "They know I was following them! A crowd of people pointed me out! How the **** was that possible?!"[/sblock]

Vaunea runs at full speed to the street she knows the halfling was headed towards. Pulling up to the street she stops and waits for her friends to catch up before sprinting to the storefront and charging in the door.

Random passers-by join the crowd, building into a full-blown mob.

"Save Drivan!" the mob chants, "Save Drivan!"

Vaunea sees a goliath gaze through the window, his eyes growing wide in a terror. Curtains close.

[sblock=Drivan Only]You hear cries of shock coming from the other room. "It's a ***** mob!"

"Gods! What are going to do now?!"

There are sounds like heavy objects being moved.

"They've got torches!"

"And improvised weapons!"

"Oh, gods! The huge (but quite nice) minotaur is outside!"

"SAVE DRIVAN!" chants the mob. The earth trembles under its feet.[/sblock]
