Useful spells for your everyday (real) life

Got a game for you. What spells would really come in handy in your everyday, normal life?

Rules: No Fly or Teleport to avoid the commute. No Cure Disease to get rid of the unintended souvenir from spring break. No Wish or Miracle. Those are lame.

My Entries:

Fire Trap

My old office had a problem with people going through other people's brown-bag lunches in the communal fridge. This would teach 'em.

Hallucinatory Terrain

I'm from New Jersey originally. The ability to disguise the odor of a terrain would have been very helpful. Giant's Stadium especially could have used this "improvement." There's just nothing quite like fresh landfills piled on top of a swampy peat-bog.

Find the Path

I could really use this spell when I go visit my brother in Boston, where, apparently, local ordinances only call for street signs every 5th intersection or rotary.

Comprehend Languages

New York Cabbies. (Calm Emotions would have been very helpful too on one occasion, but that's another story. Just glad I survived, that's all I'm sayin')

Fabricate

Ever wish you had a fondu pot, and all you had was a sauce pan? Never have this problem again.

Dominate Person

Sure, sure, I know what you're thinking: this one's a no brainer. It should be ruled out like Fly and Teleport. Well, just hear me out.

I'm a law student. Every single person I go to school with is all super-opinionated and crap. They insist on arguing over every little detail! It's really annoying. I think that I, more than most people, would really benefit from this spell. Really. It would make my daily life just a heck of a lot smoother.

So, what spells would you guys find the most useful on a day to day basis?

Meteor Swarm..... I could amuse myself for hours a day with this spell.
And Dominate.

The world had better say a prayer of thanks every day that I don't have super powers.

In RL I'm a cop so...

Hold Person - I hate running and this would make things so much safer, likewise calm emotions would stop half the domestics before they arise

Locate creature - would save on paperwork writing up warrants if I could find the buggers then and there

Locate object - again search warrants would be a breeze and the crims/civil libertarians should like it as it would remove "fishing expeditions" to see what else could be found

Prestidigitation - make light work of household duties, fix that burnt meal, etc etc

Quench - for my mates in the fire brigade

presdigitation: never have to have a bad meal again.

Fox Cunning, Owls Wisdom, Eagles Spelendor: Just the right things for those times when you need you mind to be more efficent.

A good deal of diviniations: Think about it, predict the winning lottery number and get rich, know who commited a certain crime, verify scientific theorys, the uses are many.

In normal everyday life - Prestidigitation! Never again have to clean something, never again eat tasteless food... it has so many everyday life applications, it would simply make my life incredibly easier.

OTOH, if I want to change my life as opposed to just making it the same but better, then the spells are Shapechange, Fox's cunning, Dominate, Divination, Commune, Gate, Summon monster IX, the list could go on for quite a while. Every single one of those spells would have incredible applications in real life.

Fabricate: Forget pots out of pans, I need hundreds out of ones :D.

I really could have used Invisibility in high school. For, uh, avoiding detention. Nothing to do with the locker rooms...

Unseen Servant hasn't got any takers? I'm a slob, so this would be the first thing I learned.

Cure Minor Wounds would help out immensely in the kitchen...

And there's one spell Nolin uses in PC's storyhour that lets you add ranks to any skill, don't know what it's called. But that would make my life so much easier.

Make whole would fix my car, my vacuum, anything I needed. That would be my second choice.

Charm Person/Mass Charm: For those nosy policemen.
Leomund's Secret Chest: For the ultimate in concealed carry.
Rope Trick: For no more lumpy sleeping bags.
Heat Metal: Bad S.W.A.T.! No $5,000 German submachineguns for you!
Mind Blank: To avoid Charm Person and those pesky Dominations.

Well, apparently I need something to boost my will saves, because of all you sick bastards who want to be able to read and control people's minds. You guys creep me out.

So aside from protection from evil or mind blank, I think the first one I'd enjoy would be alter self. I mean, sure, for the first few weeks I'd just be locked away in my room, . . . doing stuff, . . . but after that, I think it would be really interesting to see what life is like as different people. I could hang out with different social groups, maybe see how various types of bigotry actually take place. It's much better than cosmetic surgery, and . . . well, for those of you who have dirty minds, just let your imagination go wild.

Next would be tongues, which I would love. Foreign films, people at the library who are having trouble getting their point across, etc. I like talking to people, and these two abilities together would be great.

What else? Hmm. Lightning bolt would rule. True strike to impress people. And detect magic so I could know if you guys were messing with me with your creepy mind control powers.
