I think I owe a PDF to the Eagles, as it was the sheer recognition power of Hotel California that pulled me into second and then third place. I'm not sure that Don Henley WANTS a d20 PDF...but you never know.

In any case, congrats to Tinner and Jack of Shadows. Tinner picked one of the best songs for ease of cramming in names and references, and Jack of Shadows picked a great tune from one of my favorite bands. Hats off to both of you. You filking rock!

I'd also like to thank my mom, who taught me at an early age to love music, and the radio station for giving me access to an entire data base of songs from which to draw inspir...

This was a great competition! The songs were all hilarious, and I know that my shameless vote mongering has brought at least a few new readers to En World.
Thanks to everyone who voted, and especiall to my wife who put up with my incessant humming for the past two weeks!

I know that probably four out of the five votes I got for my entry was entirely due to the Monty Python/gamer synergy, rather than the actual quality of the filk. (I say 4 out of 5 because the fifth vote, my own, was placed because I'm selfish like that sometimes).

Ok, I lost. Despite having more entries than anyone else.

That's fine. I did it more as an exercise in creativity & to have fun than win an account.

Besides, I only had 1 real entry that met the "as many in-jokes as you can" (GenCon Party, ala Rick Nelson's Garden Party, a very underrated song). And, quite frankly, other people did the Massive ENworld references a lot better than me.

And they won. Congradulations!! Great Job.

I sort of hoped my take on Abraham, Martin & John would have gotten more votes. Angelsboi's presence is missed around here

I think my favorite entry was "Theme from ENworld" Which unfortunatly was shafted by my choice of title. If I'd named it "Shaft! by Eric's Grandma" I think more people would have read it.

Anyway, congrats to the winners. I'm not bitter. But if Jack's house should be covered in TP one night before a heavy rain..... I was somewhere else

The voting booth was closed automatically, so I took that as my cue to take care of my business. I'm sure others will do so in due course. I think the outcome is fairly cut and dry but I'll deal with it if it turns out differently than it appears.
