Weapon Speeds For d20 Fantasy Gaming

So, you posted this to get their attention, or what? I fail to see any other point in posting this.

I posted that in conversation to you. But, I'm not running from them, either.

At other times, you post lightning rods, like "let's nerf the best melee weapons, where Power Attack can be brought to bear, so that melee types can suck harder in comparison to casters." Or, "let's track the number of nicks in melee characters' weapons so that the weapons can break in combat and they can suck harder in comparison to casters." Then, when this is pointed out, you refer to it as snarkiness.

There was no snarkiness in this thread until Patryn of Elvenshae kept telling me how I didn't understand the article he posted. That was the match.

If you go back and look at the thread, it had nothing todo with rules or anything of the like you say above. PoE didn't like that I didn't take Sean K. Reynolds' words as gospel. Maybe PoE puts a lot of weight into Seans article because Sean has written so many d20 books. I don't know.

What I do know is that his article does not convince me to not use the Speed Factor rule I posted in the OP.

I have rubbed a couple of regulars the wrong way, and I think they delight in coming into my threads and ramping up the snarkiness, especially when I don't agree with their point of view.

And, I would bet, if you looked at their posting history, it really isn't just my threads. I'm sure they have other targets as well.
Yes, like that "Knight of the Scarlet Woman".

I didn't say you had to run away from them. I don't see the point in making a post that will elicit responses from the people in question.

Like flies, they won't go away even if you ask them to.

But...let's get back on topic.

Someone has already made a similiar remark, but for those who think the larger weapons (those classed as "Slow") are "nerfed" by this system, what a GM could go is just use SF 5 for the Slow weapons, SF 4 for the Standard weapons (making them faster than in the official rules) and SF 3 for the Quick weapons (making them very fast).

I wouldn't go this way, but, certainly no weapon would be "nerfed" this way.

How much honey are you using?

Enough, evidently, to always have you buzzing around my threads. Note how I never go into your threads.

It wouldn't be an issue if you'd post something constructive every once in a while. But, instead, you insist on fanning flames, like you just did above, and think yourself so witty.

Just to be clear, you do understand that I am referencing the phrase "You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar", which means that you can win people to your side more easily by gentle persuasion and flattery than by hostile confrontation, ie, if you were more pleasant you'd likely draw less flak.

Just to be clear, I don't want to know or interact with the people on the forum that feel that they have to be snarky with others. I'm flat out not trying, or even wanting, to be pleasant to them. They make their own beds.

It's not a lot of "people" anyway. It's one or three posters who see my threads and delight in derailing them. It's always the same people, like yourself.

Those that aren't rude always find me quite pleasant.
