I think it looks good, But I'm think the first book looks good too. So no vote from me.

Why does the poll need to compare the two?

You are assuming that I only think the first book is "OK".

Perhaps this reflects your feeling on the cover of the first book?

Not at all, it was mearly supposed to be in comparison to the first. I did like the first cover. I suppose if you look at it as awesome (compared to the first cover), ok (compared to the first cover) etc.

Just a hunch, but I think they might use a new creature for it. One that wasn't in the first MM. Could be wrong...

i don't like it -- it's too "busy."

i much prefer the MM1 cover, which is a simpler design.

I like the fact that it is different from the first MM. While the first MM was good, I think the books need to be distinct from each other (I didn't like the rehashed Monsters of Faerun cover).

My favorite MM-variant cover is the Creature Collection cover (with white wolf fur).
