What's a Nice Lesser Planar Ally for a Priest of the Elder Elemental God

Lesser planar ally lets one call an outsider of up to 6 HD.

What's a good candidate for a priest of the Elder Elemental God to call? I'm looking for something weird, evil, inhuman, and icky -- hopefully to play up the primeval and Cthulhu-esque aspects of the EEG.

Right now my lead contender is an Ekolid, which is a nasty new Obyrith demon from Hordes of the Abyss.

A plain old boring medium fire elemental, except you can see faces of burning souls in it.

Not all of these exactly fit by the type rules, but they are certainly appropriate. Part of the problem stems from the fact that many of the critters that jive with the EEG's horror-from-beyond theme are aberrations rather than outsiders. Check for DM approval, of course.

Advanced (to 4 or 5 hd) Pseudonatural Thoqqua.

Advanced (to 4 or 5 hd) Pseudonatural Minor Xorn.

Actually, that certainly works. What's the elemental grue like from Complete Arcane?

They're evil 3 hit dice elemental creatures... I think they can be advanced though.

Yep, also in complete arcane.

Although, scarily, That +16 CR adjustment is perfectly within the rules of both planar ally and planar binding (although allying with it is probably safer than trying to force your will upon it).

Nah I was thinking more along the lines of Little Pseudonatural.

Big Pseudonatural appears in the ELH. Far too nasty.

Little Pseudonatural appears in Complete Arcane (and in 3.0, in Tome and Blood).

Also, I see, in Lords of Madness. Very nice call.

LoM also has the half-farspawn template, which is to little pseudonatural as half-fiend is to fiendish. A half-farspawn earth elemental would be pretty cool.
