Author Ben Riggs -- who is penning a book all about the history of D&D and TSR -- has shared an image of DRAGON MAGAZINE'S first editorial after Wizards of the Coast purchased TSR in 1997.

You should post that to Perkin's Twitter.I was away at college at the time, and my Dragon subscription was being delivered to my home address, so I don't think I even noticed the gap or purchase of TSR by Wizards until long after.
I've been going back through that period of late. There are some good articles - Ed Greenwood is an MVP in Dragon's history, and he was still delivering in the late 90s.
I saw this letter to the editor and got a chuckle out of it - "I suspect he'll do well" is a bit of an understatement on the trajectory of Chris Perkins:
