Who’s your vote for the next James Bond?

It’s been going 60+ years and the Craig movies made some big money, plus Amazon acquired the rights to Bond after the last movie so I think it’s safe to say it’s going to continue.
I actually read after my last post that Amazon/MGM wants to put out movies and TV shows, pretty much rush out a shared universe with Bond and other 00's. Only problem is that they only distribute the material but have no creative/development control. Those that do said they will wait as long as they need to get the right successor to Daniel Craig and a good story before moving forward. I have no clue on the credibility of this article so take it for what its worth.

Don’t mistake your lack of interest for that of the world at large.
I wasn't. It was a genuine question as I don't follow the franchise aside from what I hear on radio or see online or TV in passing. If it wasn't for this thread, I most likely wouldn't have thought about James Bond until the speculation on who the new Bond will be comes up online, the radio or television next.
It’s a massive, and very popular franchise--the 4th biggest in the world, after Marvel, Star Wars, and Harry Potter.
Im shocked to hear this, I'd never have thought that it was the number 4 franchise of all time.

If they dont want to expand the franchise thats too bad. Id love a movie or two with Ralph as M.
Don’t worry, they’re going to continue the franchise. Maybe Ralph Fiennes will continue to be M. Maybe not. Who knows! Probably not even them at this point.

Is there an echo in here? :D

The Cold War does seem to be an important part of the mythos - without it, the events and setup seem to get harder and harder to believe, I find.

They always try to parallel modern day issues but there was a unique zeitgeist to the 1960s and the Cold War that I think they have trouble mirroring today. I actually think it's easier to go back to the 60s era, and still capture concerns that are relevant even today.
