If D&D can't be all things to all people, then that means some people are better off not playing D&D.
This thread seeks to identify people who shouldn't play D&D.
If you believe that D&D should be for everyone, I already have a thread for that. You can go check it out!

Should people without required skills play D&D? What are the required skills?

Which preferences does D&D not cater to? Like if you want X out of TTRPGs, don't play D&D and go play some other game instead??

Anything else that would make a person unsuitable for D&D? If you think of something, post it!

D&D is for everyone.

D&D has something to offer to anyone. For example, it is possible to play D&D as a strictly combat game, or oppositely play D&D as storytelling game without any combat at all.

One of the responsibilities of a DM is emphasize the aspects of D&D that the players at ones table enjoy.

Perhaps the only caveat is session zero where players come to agreement. So, if the session zero cant meet an individuals needs, find a session zero that does.

Anyone who wants to play D&D should absolutely be able to play D&D. That said, if you prefer very low-magic fantasy settings, there are a lot of other RPGs that will probably be more to your tastes, or at least take less work to get to match the type of fantasy you prefer.

It's tough to think about who shouldn't play D&D, but I think I have a couple of suggestions.
First, D&D is a team and social activity. I don't think it's the game for you if you aren't comfortable with that. You really have to be able to "play well with others" to make it an enjoyable experience.
The other thing I can think about is that sometimes things will go well, and sometimes that won't be the case. You need to be able to disconnect from the bad experiences which can happen from time to time. They likely will, especially at the start of the game. If you can't accept that sometimes you won't get what you want, I don't think it's the right game for you.

But generally speaking, D&D is a game that just about anyone can play and enjoy. It genuinely took me a bit to think of people it's not a good fit for.
