D&D 5E Why the "Official" Rules do matter

These are things when playing with strangers. Which until 5E were quite alien to me. Before that it was primarily playing at friends homes. It’s still stunning to me how many people play with people that aren’t their friends these days.
Same here. It’s funny how it is seen as a privilege to always have personal friends to play with. I always thought it was the opposite: that people are lucky if they have the time and opportunity to play frequently with strangers.
