An interesting thing I saw: I kept wondering how he got big names in his films. He was at an AICN event and made a comment to the effect 'You know, when you wait until two weeks before shooting to cast the film, you find a lot of people with holes in their schedule'. Which is true: you find someone who wants the work and a quick paycheck, and you have a B- or C-list star.

Something about his Dungeon Seige movie (which isn't named that now, I think), that he started casting two weeks before the cameras were going to roll. So, of course, no one has time to practice or reherse or do things with the fight coordinator... He's just making big budget home movies with expensive gear.

I have no idea how Uwe got the nickname "Dr. Boll", but I assume it's more in the lines of "Dr. Clayton Forrester" or "Dr. Doom" than an actual medical practitioner.
