A Wicked Kendragon
Grey and depressing? Maybe the colours of the film, but I always though the characters were cheerfully quirky. Or maybe quirkily cheerfull. Especially those by Horst Tappert, Rolf Schimpf and Pierre Sanoussi-Bliss. The sort of guys who would say to themselves "the world may be a bad bad place, but I won't let that stop me from anything".Flyspeck23 said:I'd guess that both shows are internationally successful because they show a pretty cliché view of Germany - it's all grey and very depressing.

Of course, if they were characters from Finnish cop shows they'd spend half of their time looking thoroughly depressed and on the verge of suicide before saying "screw that" and leaping into action.
