Wildshape Question

A druid gets to wildshape once per day at 5th level. Can the druid select a different form each use or just one form. For example, can a 5th level druid today wildshape into a dog and then tomorrow wildshape into a cat?

To be more helpful - with Polymorph Self, you can change over and over into different forms while the duration lasts.

Wildshape is one form per use of the ability. Each time you use it, it can be a different form, but if you want to change into something different, you have to Wildshape again.

Thanks. I read the PHB and the excerpt from MotW on the WotC site, but it didn't seem clearly stated to me. Anyhoo, thanks for clearing that up for me.

MONO MORPH SELF !!! God... thats good... I´ll remember that one...

Only restriction animals is those you got to know... so no tropical animals if your up north...

Odd, the way I read it, when you can Wildshape 1/day, you can only Wildshape into 1 animal, period. When you get 2 Wildshapes/day, you can choose 2 animals, and so on. But maybe I'm wildly mistaken.

And as for Polymorph/Monomorph Self -- I always assumed it was a one-form only spell (it's called Polymorph 'cuz the same spell can be used to turn you into anything thing you can think of, but only any ONE thing). If you wanted to do a "shapeshifter's duel," use Shapechange (which clearly states multiple forms can be assumed during the duration of the spell)...
