The Keep on the Borderlands, Against the Giants, the Isle of Dread, Palace of the Silver Princess, Rahasia, Desert of Desolation, Saltmarsh series, etc.

Would you like conversions of classic 1e/2e/OD&D modules to be published (not done in a 'return to' style?

Of course, many people simply have the old classics and would rather convert them themselves. But I imagine there are a large number of new gamers who have never played the classic adventures.

Personally, I'd love to have some of the old classics back in print in 3e (or 3.5e).

I would love to see it, but it's impossible unless they change the experience chart.

The old modules assume the old advancement charts. By the end of one, your characters would be WAY higher level than the module intended.

Good point. Certainly, while I was stressing this is about conversions, I do think if classic modules are republished liberties should be take into account level appropriateness. It's mainly a problem high-level modules.

I'll also offer that some people (I'm not one of them) might care who does the conversion.

If all the legal IP issues could be settled, I'd be overjoyed if a d20 company took the classic modules updated them to 3e and released them as OGC. But that's probably just a pipe dream.

It'd also be *really* if they released the modules in a print &CD-Rom edition with an NWN version and/or other electronic aids like CC2 maps, or PC-Gen files.

OR... *WHACK* I'm sorry, I've just been hit by the reality bat.

Yeah. Conversions'd be cool.

Desert of Desolation would be nice. Maybe the Slavers series. Those are really the only ones that would interest me. Kind of tired of first edition feel, although it does make it easier for the DM.

Personally, I'm not tired of 1e feel, but Idon't think that has to be an issue. 2e modules could be converted, and many of the older modules were of distinct styles anyway.

I was mainly thinking that converting the older modules could be a simple way ot put out some quality 3e Modules.

I was thinking of running ToEE, Slavers and the GDQ1-7 for a group of people that I work with and their regular group as theyre relatively new to the game and have only been playing for about 12 months.
Unfortunatly, as much as I love these modules I dont have a lot of time to convert them to 3E, then fiddle with them to customise them to the PC's playing.

Im a long time player of 1E and 2E but Im not knowing the 3E system very well at all so its hard to find the confidence to run it.
Ive had a look at some of the latest modules in 3E and while some are ok, they just seem to lack something.

I'd like to see new adventures as opposed to updates of old ones. 1st edition modules have the benefit of nostalgia from younger days. Playing them today, however....they just feel dated. While WotC has done several Return To books, again, I think I'd like to see something altogether new.
