D&D 5E You find a magical _____, it does _____

A wedding gown, made of cloth of moonbeams

This gown, sized "elfin petite" was worn by the mythical heroine Elglorfindel, when she was chained to a rock as a sacrifice to the sea gods before her father Maladon set out on a perilous voyage to the Westering Lands. So beautiful was she, so delightful her singing and so elegant her gown, that the sea gods spared her and she was borne away on the back of a leviathan to live forever in the Archipelago of a Thousand Islands where she married a handsome prince and lived happily ever after.

Any elf female wearing this dress will gain a temporary +2 Charisma boost but will suffer an almost irresistable urge to head for the nearest coast and jump into the sea.

A wedding gown, made of cloth of moonbeams

This wedding gown is woven of a lovely silvery-white fabric finer than silk. It is the traditional wedding attire of an elf maiden from the forest of Karredwyn.

When an elf maiden of Karredwyn pledges her undying love to her husband, the bond is not merely civil or religious, but magical - it is truly an undying vow. In the traditional wedding ceremony of the elves of Karredwyn, the dress itself is part of the ceremony, and thereafter becomes a magic item, as do the rings and the groom's wedding tunic.
When a bride or groom of Karredwyn is murdered, or dies tragically, their wedding garment holds their spirit upon this plane of existence, and it manifests as an incorporeal undead of whatever alignment the wearer was in life. This spirit usually remains close to their life partner for the rest of that person's time in this world, protecting them until they can be together again in the next.

Sometimes, when the lifemate of a Karredwyn elf dies, the other partner may choose to end their life as well, either to be united with their lifemate once again, or more rarely, to seek vengeance upon those they hold responsible for their lifemate's death. When doing so, the men of Kerridwyn typically become a ghost, while the women of Karredwyn return as banshees, but both are always dressed in their wedding garments.

Next: The Thread of Valhalla

You find The Thread of Valhalla. Said to be woven from the hair of the Valkyrie themselves. The string seems to be both infinitely long and obviously finite. Impossible for mortal eyes to measure or mortal words to describe. It is said that anyone who breaks the string is cut off from Valhalla after this life ends and all memory of this person will be forgotten. Scholars have mused over many practical uses, but harnessing the thread comes with too much existential reckoning for any known man or woman tp attempt.

Sanzo's Paper Trap

This magical paper caltop can be folded flat to transport easily without any damage being dealt to the carrier. It is quickly and easily refolded into its dangerous caltop form. When a command word is spoken it replicates itself a hundred times over. The duplicates can be spread as normal caltrops, but disappear after one hour no matter what. The trick of the Paper Trap is that is can also be folded into other items such as ladles, cups, plates, or even bear traps; if one has the patience to meticulously learn how to fold each one.

Hi,

Sorry for breaking the chain, but I have a question. Some of these items are actually pretty cool, especially Sanzo's Paper Trap. Is it at all possible that I could use some of these relics as possessions for D&D-inspired characters that I have in an online forum game?

Pretty sure we're coming up with things to inspire others, as well as because it's fun. Use them as much as you want. I plan to. :)

I can't speak for the others, but you can use any of mine, sure. Ideas are cheap. Check with your DM, though. Unless you are the DM :D
