It's time for a pair of Xenomorphs previews! The Kickstarter for Xenomorphs: The Fall of Somerset Landing launches in just over a week (you can read more about that here). In the meantime, here are two previews which were amongst those posted over the last week: a pregenerated character (an explosives expert/miner) and one of the four varieties of xenomorph featured in the book.
Fans of gritty science-fiction survival horror will find this interesting. Coming soon to Kickstarter from EN Publishing is a standalone set, powered by WOIN, which allows you to play in a dystopian future on distant colonies where death is just around the corner. Here's an in-depth preview!
As part of the Extra Life charity campaign, WotC has released a preview of the Forge Domain from Xanathar's Guide to Everything. Head on over to donate and unlock more previews. There are two more previews unlocked which should be released imminently, so stay tuned - the table of contents and a "Drawing of in-game Tortle champion asset, from Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms".
Today, we have another preview of the upcoming Judge Dredd & The Worlds of 2000 AD tabletop adventure game, a roleplaying game powered by the What's OLD is NEW (WOIN) roleplaying game system. This time - a quick glimpse of the Skysurfer career!
The Kickstarter for Frank Mentzer's Worlds of Empyrea was ambitious, and sadly it didn't seem to gain the traction it needed to raise the $250K it was asking for. Indeed, Kicktraq is currently predicting it won't make its funding goal; so far it has raised just over a fifth of its target. However, all is not lost - because it's being rebooted! (thanks to Terradave for the scoop).

Here's The Wizard Spell List From Extra Life

I remember when people used to put sentences and everything in their posts. It was a golden era.
EN Publishing’s first release under the “WOIN STUDIOS PRESENTS” banner is coming soon… but what is WOIN STUDIOS? We have managed to steal a few minutes to interview Angus Abranson about WOIN STUDIOS, the inspiration behind going for the first multi-dimensional licensing agreement, and what we may see from the deal, including a peak at the first product, Xenomorphs: The Fall of Somerset Landing.
D&D Beyond talks to WotC's Jeremy Crawford about the Monster Slayer subclass. "So the monster slayer in the ranger is a subclass that's basically all about letting you play Van Helsing. This is the Ranger who is the pro at hunting down not only creatures of the night - vampires, werewolves etc - but is also the bane of evil spellcasters. This is the Ranger who is a bit more bookish we imagine than the typical Ranger, the one who knows all sorts of interesting tidbits about different monsters and how to defeat them."
This week in EN Publishing's updates, we have the next part of the ZEITGEIST adventure path for 5th Edition players, a system to randomly generate a memorably island for Pathfinder fans, rules for REP-based character ranks (along with sample rank structures for a range of fantasy, modern, and sci-fi organisations) for WOIN, along with the latest episode of Turn Order: Warped!
Earlier this year, EN Publishing announced the Judge Dredd & The Worlds of 2000 AD tabletop adventure game, a roleplaying game powered by the What's OLD is NEW (WOIN) roleplaying game system. We are excited to share the first of a series of small previews of the game, which will be coming to game tables near you this winter.
WotC's Mearls talks to D&D Beyond about the Warlock Celestial subclass in Xanathar's Guide to Everything. "What we've established in the cosmology of Dungeons & Dragons, is that clerics are tied to the divine beings, gods, or concepts and viewed with the divine, so it might be like the silver flame from Eberron. The celestial though is rather than being a divine being per se, it's a celestial being so it could be something like an angel, a ki-rin, a unicorn or anything else that's a powerful good aligned creature but it doesn't necessarily have to be a God."
Now available in PDF format (softcover coming soon) is [WOIN] Modern Equipment - everything from jet packs to Walther PPKs to classic sports cars to space suits. An essential book for any WOIN game set in the modern day.
The weekly EN Publishing news roundup includes some terrifyingly disgusting Abolithic Servitors for 5th Edition games, four new knightly orders for Pathfinder cavaliers, the latest episode of Turn Order: Warped (with a new cast member!) and some previews of WOIN's upcoming Xenomorph 2: The Fall of Somerset Landing!
Making a change from all those lovely pictures of Jeremy Crawford on EN World's front page, this time it's Mike Mearls who speaks to D&D Beyond about the Cleric Forge Domain in Xanathar's Guide, along with some interesting observations about baked potatoes.
Back in August, WotC named ten "Adepts" whose products on their DM's Guild storefront they would be promoting and highlighting, and who would get advance access to adventures in order to product at-launch compatible content for them. Now, various Adepts have mentioned on Twitter that theirs - and other Adepts' adventures - are now legal for the D&D Adventurer's Guild. Those products will now feature the DDAL logo (shown below).
Frank Mentzer's Worlds of Empyrea Kickstarter has launched! "Box, Darlene maps, 5 core books, 1 System book: D&D 5E, Pathfinder, Runequest, Savage Worlds, DCC, C&C, S&W, HackM, D&D BECMI, or 1E/2E"
