Find it over on EN5ider!
I've been talking about it all week, and now the time has come - the A TOUCH OF CLASS Kickstarter is now live! 7 new classes for 5th Edition! Meet the full alchemist, cardcaster, diabolist, feywalker, morph, noble, and occultist classes for your 5E games in this 70-page book! Get this gorgeous softcover book right away! We will deliver PDFs as soon as the Kickstarter ends, and the print version will be arriving with you shortly afterwards. No delays! And for those with a bigger appetite, you can also get 45 new subclasses. These seven classes originally appeared in EN5ider, the 5th Edition patreon. Over time, they have been revised and updated after plenty of feedback from the community, and now they're ready to be presented as a full-colour softcover book! Each is a full class, along with archetypes; plus the collection includes a selection of supporting feats, spells, items, backgrounds, and monsters to help make the most from them. And yes, that includes the Noble, the name of our "Warlord" class! Click here (or on one of the pretty pictures below) to back it!
The folks over at Burning Games have sent along a preview of the FAITH Core Rulebook (an "ENnie-awarded, card based sci-fi RPG with 2.0 rules, detailed setting and tons of beautiful immersive artwork") for your viewing pleasure! This is 13 pages of the book detailing the history of the Corvo, one of the game's species. The core rulebook is being Kickstarted as we speak, is almost funded, with just over two weeks to go, and it does look very, very pretty.
A Touch Of Class launches on Kickstarter in a couple of days, on Monday, April 3rd. Keep an eye out, because there will be early bird rewards for those who get in quickly. It features 7 new classes for 5th Edition, along with associated subclasses, feats, spells, and more. These classes all originally appeared in EN5ider, the 5E Patreon, and have been revised and updated based on your feedback. You can see a preview here, and a preview of the Alchemist class here. But this post is about the Noble - the 5E version of the Warlord - which was originally published in EN5ider nearly two years ago, and which has been revised and updated for this 70-page full colour softcover book.
With the caveat that these sculpts are not final (and, of course, the finals will be pre-painted), these official Starfinder miniatures from Ninja Division will be sold in a single, or two sets, with the price as yet undetermined. Characters and monsters have round bases, while starships have hexagonal bases. Even if you don't want to play Starfinder, these look like a great resource for any sci-fi game in the way that WotC's pre-painted plastic Star Wars minis were.
A Touch of Class, the new 70-page full-color softcover class book for 5E, introduces seven new classes to your 5th Edition games, along with a range of associated subclasses, feats, spells, items, backgrounds, and more. The Kickstarter launches next week, on Monday, 3rd April. Here's a quick preview of a couple of pages of the Alchemist, one of the 7 classes featured (the others are the Cardcaster, Diabolist, Feywalker, Morph, Noble, and Occultist).

In the wake of Brazil Tanslatorgate, Dungeons & Dragons licensee Gale Force Nine has made a statement regarding the dispute between Fire on Board and FMR about the rights to translate D&D 5th Edition into Portuguese for he Brazilian audience. They have put translation plans for Brazil on hold pending an investigation. As yet, WotC has issued no comment.
Things are afoot in Brazil, in what will no doubt become known as "Brazil Translatorgate" or something similar - as a dispute breaks out between the Brazilian company Fire on Board for the recently announced Dungeons & Dragons translations and three other companies who claim they had an agreement with Fire on Board to undertake the project as a joint venture. The dispute has been reported on various sites, with the gist being that the CEO of Fire on Board was appointed to act as spokesman for the group in negotiations with Hasbro (or Gale Force 9, which is overseeing all translations) but instead signed an agreement for just his own company. Fire on Board announced on Facebook on 21 March that it had the license and remains the current licensee for D&D translations in Brazil. Fire on Board, for its part, appears to deny any wrongdoing and says that it notified the other companies that it was withdrawing from negotiations with them, and that at no point was any formal agreement made.
As always with D&D 5th Edition books, Tales from the Yawning Portal has a humourous disclaimer at the front. Here's a quick peek at it (courtesy of Shane Plays). Plus read on for the list of new monsters in the book!
The YouTube channel Dungeon Life has posted a video featuring WotC's Kate Irwin (senior art director), Emi Tanji (senior graphic designer), and Jeremy Crawford (managing editor). It talks about designing Tales from the Yawning Portal. One of the themes discussed it how the adventures in the book were kept the same at the core, updating the stats and wording to make them feel like 5th Edition - "What would you do if you redesigned the adventures to be more like a modern D&D design? And the answer is, we didn't. What we did is we took Tomb of Horrors, and it's still Tomb of Horrors that Gary Gygax wrote..." Tales from the Yawning Portal hits preferred game stores tomorrow (ask your local store!) and everywhere else 11 days later.
These quick random tables enable you to quickly create a unique war camp, describing its grounds, sleeping arrangements, leisure activities, defences and night watch, and the types of treasure pillaged. By Jeff Gomez; illustrated by Phil Stone. Available on both EN5ider (5th Edition) and TRAILseeker (Pathfinder).
One of the four mysterious unnamed D&D products has been revealed! Coming on June 20th, for $9.95, is a folder of official Dungeons & Dragons character sheets. "Inside the pockets of this lavishly illustrated protective folder, you’ll find a full set of fifth edition Dungeons & Dragonscharacter sheets for use in any D&D campaign. This product includes three additional styles of double-sided character sheets giving veteran players options based on their individual play preference and spell sheets for keeping track of their magical repertoire. Also included is an introductory character sheet designed specifically to help ease new players into the game. Fans can use these character sheets to welcome new players to the world’s greatest roleplaying game or choose a variant that fits their preferences."
In the latest Unearthed Arcana from WotC's Mike Mearls and Jeremy Crawford, the wizard gets another look. This week's short two-page PDF includes two Arcane Traditions - Theurgy (wizards with divine patrons) and War Magic (wizards who use evocation and abjuration in combat). "After releasing the 28-page mystic last week, we have a short Unearthed Arcana installment this week: two Arcane Tradition options for the wizard. The Theurgy tradition has appeared in Unearthed Arcana before, but this time we’d like to gather playtest feedback on it. War Magic is an option we’re exploring after reading your feedback on Lore Mastery and seeing interest in a war mage option."
