What exactly is a D&D Warlock?

A friend of mine translated two paragraphs that describe the berserker class in Heroes of the Feywild (I still haven't got the chance to see the book), here it is. It might make it easy to imagine words to fill the blanks:

Estes espíritos são atraídos por emoções tão fortes assim e podem habitar os ______s durante seus furores, protegendo-os do perigo. Back to the berserker problem. Berserker is an adjective, its the sabe as saying "the angry one" it doesn't describe it as a class (a profession), so it gets very hard to translate it. After seeing this descriptin I'm thinking of finding some word which means "serving as a host" since berserker do serve as hosts to primal spirits.

But "berserker" isn't an adjective, it's a noun. "Berserk" is an adjective. Berserker | Define Berserker at Dictionary.com

I've read texts in Portuguese about ancient warfare, and they used "berserker" as-is for the Norse warriors devoted to Odin who fought under a frenzy and wore nothing but furs. Sometimes in Portuguese it is spelled "berzerker".

As for children and young teens playing: I started playing when I was 12, and D&D is the reason I speak English fluently today. It was funny hearing us play, because we spoke in Portuguese, but used words like "magic-user", "longsword" or "morningstar" in English. Sure, it took a while to lear how to pronounce "bear" (we thought it sounded like "beer") or "spear", but we got it right in the end.

We can play in english, and the first few games we played in english and the game goes on, but I have to tell them what is everything and describe all powers and stuff to them. I want them to be able to freely choose a class, to read the powers and choose by themselves. I already have all the classes from HotFL translated (all the content), also I have all the races available, all magic items, all feats, etc. My next step is to translate HotFK (that's why I started this topic).

Berserker is used in a relatively new fashion, in older texts they just say frenzied/furious warrior and ocasionally tell that they were named berserker, but they don't use the word in portuguese. Also, the oldest description of a berserk attitude is called Furor Teutonicus (in latim).

I discovered a word the is really nice and I've never heard before: sanhoso (1 angry, furious. 2 fierce. 3 ill-tempered, peevish, wrathful.) and sanhudo (1 grim, irascible. 2 fig terrible, awful.) They don't sound very good, but they are also spot on. Other options in my list are: Truculento, Fanático, Temperamental, Impetuoso, Possesso, Possessível, Sanhoso, Sanhudo.

You know, I actually like "Fanático", despite the religious fervor it implies. It reminds me of Juggernaut, from the X-Men, which is part defender (super armor) and part striker (super strength).
