D&D 5E Character sheets help

If you have the Player's Handbook, pages 11 - 15 have a step-by-step breakdown of the character creation process. Everything mentioned in that section is clearly labeled on the character sheet (I'm assuming you're using the official ones. If not, and you'd like to, you can download them here). Just work through it one section at a time.

The same step-by-step breakdown is on pages 6 - 9 of the Basic Rules that BoldItalic linked to.

ETA: If you've got about 30 minutes, this video goes over the whole process, including filling out the character sheet.

I did and it said to use a 20 sided dice for abilities that but then I went to a game store in the woods told her that I should probably start over and so now I'm not sure what to do so what dice should I is

You don't roll abilities with a 20-sided dice. Not in Dungeons & Dragons.

If you look at Section 3 - Determine Ability Scores (p.12 of the Player's Handbook or p.7 of the Basic Rules) it lists three methods of generating ability scores. The simplest is what we call the "Array Method", which doesn't involve rolling dice at all - you take the six numbers 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8 and allocate them to your six abilities in any order you like. The description of the class you have chosen will suggest which abilities are the most important; you put the highest numbers (15, 14 and so on) into those.

If you really want to roll dice, you need six-sided dice to roll ability scores. But check with the Dungeon Master of the game you are going to play in - some Dungeon Masters do not allow randomly rolled ability scores.

What class and race have you chosen for your character ?

Also, if you use character sheets that you found online, make sure you use sheets for the correct D&D edition. Since the rules vary greatly in each edition, so do the character sheets for those editions.

My character is going to be a dragonborn rouge and her name is narku

Okay. Have you done your ability scores yet? It's time to write them on the character sheet. Write them in pencil, because they are going to change.

The most important ability for a rogue is Dexterity. Put your best score into the Dexterity box. Now, decide what sort of rogue Narku is. If you want her to be good at deceiving people, put the next highest score into Charisma. But if you want her to be good at exploring dungeons and working out traps, put it into Intelligence. Put the other numbers into the other four abilities however you like. You can't really go wrong.

Now, because Narku is a dragonborn, some of those scores get adjusted (that's why I said to do them in pencil). You really need the Player's Handbook if you are making a Dragonborn - they aren't in the Basic rules I linked to. On p.34, just under the heading "Dragonborn Traits", do you see where it says "Ability Score Increase"? It tells you to change two of your scores. Do that. You can ink them in, now. They are final.

If you do not have the Player's Handbook, you can download something called the System Reference Document, which has the dragonborn in it on pp.5-6. It has the same words.

Okay, good. Put one of the 14's into Dexterity and the other one into Intelligence. Put one of the 12's into Charisma but then change it to 13 because you are a dragonborn and dragonborns get +1 on their charisma scores. That leaves you with a 12, an 11 and an 8 to put into Strength, Constitution and Wisdom. I would suggest 12 Constitution, because that will be useful for your breath weapon, then 11 Strength which get changed to 13 because dragonborns get +2 Strength, leaving just 8 for Wisdom.

So now you have Str 13, Dex 14, Con 12, Int 14, Wis 8, Cha 13.

Okay so far?
