D&D 5E Storm King's Thunder [OOC]

We can run around the rock, shooting down the hall and getting out of the way of the next guy.
...snip...
Also, did you not notice that ROOM FULL OF GOBLINS you have to pass by to get to that northern passage?:p

I didn't think of a revolving minigun of PC's :D and somehow I missed the chieftain, because seriousmoonlight only mentions him explicitly in his post...

But we seem to have at least one of them coming down the corridor now so we'd be fighting the same battle.

This is my absolute favorite part of DMing, when players tackle a situation in a completely different way than expected. The unpredictable nature can be a lot of fun unless you're a dwarf in an ogre cave. XD...

My favourite part of D&D too, I was hoping it wouldn't become a full strategy debate mid combat (though part of that is my fault for missing the chieftain) it was just meant to be a chance for people to stop me going full Leroy Jenkins.

Hmm... my intention was to get out of everyone's way by moving down (on the map) and running around that rock in the middle of 6, and very much NOT to go up the north passage (in fact, I was against the idea of anyone going that way.) But it looks like I was misunderstood, which is fine (it's easy enough to do).

If you prefer not to fix it and just move along, then I guess Aremus decided that if others are going to risk moving off into (as far as he knows) unknown tunnels, then he'd better go with them.

Sorry, misinterpreted what you when you said run down the tunnel. I'll put him where you intended. This is why I create everything in photoshop. Easy to move layers around.

I hope that none of what I said was taken as a "full strategy debate"! I was just trying to clear up what looked to be some possible misconceptions. (That and keep the party from breaking down into three groups of two and a solo dwarf!)

Case in point - the goblin coming down the hall appears (I could be wrong) to be asking us to kill his chief. Don't shoot that guy!

I was using hyperbole in the how of being funny.

And I agree, he appears to be an enemy of an enemy.

Got it. That's one of the "joys" of internet communication. We often mean things more mildly than they come across. I know I do. I'm just having a good time!

I may have just made things worse with my turn (as far as party splits go), I dunno... I'm off to help the Dwarf. (Maybe I should just keep calling him that. I think he'd hate it. I'm a half-elf, so my ears are suitably "long" enough to annoy him.)

While I'm thinking about--I'll be leaving Sunday morning to take the boys to summer camp for the Boy Scouts. I won't be back until the following Saturday afternoon. I'm fairly certain that I will have ZERO internet access during that week. I will try to be as active as possible between now and then, but after Sunday Carolina will need to be placed on NPC status for a week.

Ah, I remember Boy Scout camp :) Have fun!
