D&D 5E D&D Mythic Odysseys of Theros Previews!

Mythic Odysseys of Theros may have been delayed until the end of July for most of us, but Fantasy Grounds has revealed some (undoubtedly specially approved) previews for us to look at in the meantime!

Wow... the price fluctuates quite a bit on Amazon. I pre-ordered on March 6th, and it was $29.97. Keep an eye on it, 'cause it'll likely drop again.
I'm Canadian, and the price on Amazon.ca hasn't dropped that low. I have a price drop alert set-up to email me though when it hits a certain point.

Ugg... looking through the credits [REDACTED] is involved. I'd hoped they'd left the industry for good.

I'm a left leaning person and agree with 99.95% of their views and politics but have had nothing but negative interactions with them online. They're a really ugly, negative person that doesn't hesitate to brigade anyone they even thinks is [acting contrary to their views].
They really not the kind of person I want representing D&D.

Sorry, can someone explain this to me? I read up on her on Wikipedia and she doesn't seem like a villain.

Thanks! This is the answer I was looking for. I didn't know these deities were used before, I thought they were new in this book, because I forgot that this book is not a Greek-mythology-based fantasy setting but it is a Greek-mythology-inspired-Magic-The-Gathering-cards-expansion-based fantasy setting.

Basically, I forgot why I wasn't interested in this book before . I was intrigued by the Greek theme but it's too derivative for my tastes.
I've been think about this a bit personally. I eventually decided I don't want a Greek themed setting, or a Greek mythology themed setting, but a setting derived from Greek mythology. This seems to be close to what I am looking for, but my fear is that it is to close to the source material. However, to be honest, I'm not getting the book for the setting, I'm getting it for the new crunch that comes with it.

I mean we don't really need a Greek mythology setting, but crunch to help make that setting come to life is helpful for running one or Greek mythology adjacent setting. That is what I am looking for.

Wyatt did a masterful job translating Ravnica strictly into D&D terms. This book will probably fit your needs.

I always do find it funny how many people chanted for brand new D&D settings and not just old recycled classic settings from 2e only to see Ravnica and Theros and quickly amend their statement with "... but not that!"
;)

The neat thing is this serves both needs.

I mean, if it was 110% classic Greek myths there's no new lore. Because we all know Greek mythology. It's just stats for existing stuff. A deity write-up on Zeus when we all already know Zeus.
But this way we get new lore and new stuff and can easily take the monsters and mechanics and details from this and slap it overtop our existing Greek mythology books.

Or do a Greek adjacent game that plays fast and loose with Mythology. Like Xena...
