D&D 5E WotC Shares Theros Table of Contents

WotC has shared the table of contents of Mythic Odysseys of Theros. Well, part of it, at least. Update -- thanks to "obscureReviewer" on Twitter, here's a fuller image!

Its fighting beings (high-epic level PC's) who routinely take down Demon lords, demi-gods and worse.

Iron Golems are made out of... well Iron, and they were beating them to death with bare hands 15 levels ago!
My point was Godzilla's skin is from 3' to 16' thick. Most swords will not even get through its skin. So even if the fighter had a magic sword the could get slice the skin, it can't cut deep enough to hit anything the is vital or even make it bleed. That is my point, not the relative "power" of D&D foes, it was just a discussion of scale.

Sure, but this is why while there is a lot of realism in D&D, it doesn't attempt to mirror reality. :)

Exactly. As we stated before, nothing prevents them from using rejected material, modify it and present it again (under a new name or not) for an other book. I think that we're all in agreement on that one. Cheers!
No, what I was saying is that just because they've never playtested material that early doesn't mean that they couldn't be trying to get a headstart. I still think they'd never playtest 12 subclasses for a setting book.

Feywild theme, Shadowfell theme, true naming, wildfire, and phantom rogue...none of these are necessarily related at all to Planescape.

They don’t have much obvious tie to MtG either, though they each do have pretty clear mana color applicabilities, but neither are they “undeniably” Planescape related.
You think that a fey subclass isn't related to Planescape? You think that a Wildfire druid isn't related to planescape? Those are the most obvious ones ever! The Phantom Rogue references the Shadowfell and Shadar-Kai. True naming has always been connected to demons and devils. If those aren't planescape in theme, I'll eat my shoe.

You can't. I'm pretty sure that shoes aren't related to Planescape. ;)

I don't know planescape, but I find your logic a bit odd. If true naming has always been connected to demons and devils, that would imply it is not solely connected to planescape? In fact, the concept in D&D predates planescape by quite a bit.
