We learned in December about Chris Pine's involvement, along with directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley.

Unfortunately this movie seems to have C-grade casting written all over it. I mean, that’s no different to the other D&D movies, but I did have higher hopes initially.

Given how many ways there are to kill PCs, and how Michelle Rodriguez has a Sean Bean-esque way of dying in most of her film appearances, I'm suddenly wondering if the film will adhere to D&D tradition by ending with a TPK.

I could see a Tomb of Horrors trilogy where each movie is a different party of adventures trying to get to the end. Possibly those characters that survive the first two movies join the last group for the third. Make the Tomb the main character.

Yeah, I hear ya. The Fast and Furious, Avatar, Jurassic Park were all such tremendous box office flops because of their involvement. Add in the "so-called" director of the John Wick movies, destined to failure.

I didn’t say they were flops, so please don’t put words in my mouth. Being in a movie that did well does not necessarily mean all their other movies will do well. Thora Birch was in American Beauty and Marlon Wayans was in Scary Movie. The first movie was still trash.

They may not be "A-List" actors depending on your definition, they're hardly "C-List" actors.

As far as we know, the movie hasn't even started filming yet, it's just a touch early to say that it's going to be crap.

Rodriguez characters tend to die because she has a long and well-documented substance abuse problem which has landed her in jail and makes her difficult to work with.
