Didn't they have similar survey about the PHB races a while ago? It seems pretty certain to me that they're working on some sort of PHB update.

Anything would be better than the brown-paper-bag-generic, anything-goes, "fighter who went to church once" model that they have in the Player's Handbook. If they want to keep that model, that's fine...just make them a subclass of Fighter already and be done with it.

(I was being sarcastic about the alignment thing, in case you were wondering. I think alignment is the least of my issues with the paladin.)

I think I was a little hard on them at some points (ranger, assassin, 4E monks, the classics), but its nice to have their ear.

Etc.

Truly, they must be jack of all trades!

I know. Bards take so long to create, and with such little result. They are empty spaces disguised as etchings on a character sheet.

You've clearly never seen a bard played well. I have. They're useful, versatile, and a tremendous amount of fun.
