I am excited!

I love that they jump INTO the gelatinous cube to avoid the displacer beast.

Yeah in a couple scenes. In the upside down unleashing the evil horn thing and they're fighting one at the end who teleports around the battlefield. (Maybe the same one)

Also speaking of that evil horn. Is it an existing piece of D&D lore?

Looks like more like a copper dragon to me. Plus I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be a bad guy. I think they'll stay on brand for that.

"Greatest evil the world has known" combined with seeing at least three dragons on screen? It could be a play on the orbs of dragonkind, which means the dragon is being mind-controlled?

This is how I like my D&D. Campy, bordering on the ridiculous, with plenty of weird monsters and action. Trailer at least ticks the boxes.

Oh, and they got the soundtrack right too....

From just a quick sneak look on my phone while at work, that looks... pretty good!

I love the choice of a black dragon rather than your typical fire-breathing red dragon (although it looks like we get that too). And of course seeing classic D&D monsters like owlbears and gelatinous cubes is awesome (as is seeing a druid transform into the former!). And yeah, it does look like Michelle Rodriguez is playing a (non-stereotypical) dwarf.

Will watch it again when I get more time to really dig into it...
