It is finally here!

Who is planning on playing it? Who has already started?

Let's use this thread for talking about it in general, but keep spoilers Spoilered, please and thanks.

For my part, I plan on downloading it tonight and going through whatever goofy installation process it is going to require.

I chose the path of least resistance and bought FO4 GOTY for a 3rd time so I could have it on GoG and just download and apply FOL directly.

What can I say? I'm lazy and not fiddling with the the downgrader was worth $15 to me.

Well, I got through the intro and out into London proper and joined the gang, but the game keeps crashing during the long walk to their hideout. maybe I will go back a save and not join them and see what happens.

Have you made sure to disable Weapon Debris? I think with the Steam install of FO4 it still starts enabled and absolutely will sooner or later (usually sooner) crash your game, often in a very random-feeling way but at a somewhat predictable time period. For example in default FO4 it will usually crash the game as you run towards the Vault in the intro.

You can only access the setting by starting FO4 and in the launcher not the game, going into the graphics and making sure that it's set to "Off".

It might well not be that but it's a good candidate to check.

I've got it installed and will give it a go.

Thanks. I'll check that.

I updated my NVIDIA drivers and it seemed to fix the problem for now.

Also, the Fallout London difficulty is set higher by default than my usual preference for FO4 (it's usual a sneaky-snipey power fantasy for me).

I've played the first few hours and (very) early review.

Its a very fun and impressive fan project but you can see some rough edges that tell you its a fan project.

The thing that impresses me most is how much they've added to make it feel like a london fallout while still maintaining the style/feel of fallout. They have what seems like almost a mew games worth of assets from weapons to graffiti, they took the time to alter the things that would be unique to the USA (no pip-boy, Vault boy, caps, etc) and come up with alternatives tgat feel Fallout.

Sound design is mostly ok with a few exceptions (crowds amd running water sound odd, your dog sounds like a galloping horse, etc).

The voice acting is very good for a non commercial product but there arent as many NPCs you can talk to as a mainline Bethesda game (which is fair). It ends up.making the world feel smaller.

P.S. totally recommend. For the price its a great deal (its free).

My understanding is that they even managed to get former Speaker of the House (the member of parliament who chairs debates between political parties) John Bercow to do some VA.
