That made no sense whatsoever. Slow down and parse those thoughts. I detect a deeper issue at play here, so I think I can make something of the 'spaghetti code' of words I just read. Not attacking you, got it?

Are you saying that RAW should have spelled out how drag works? As in, not allowing a 'dragger' to drag a 'draggee' beside them as opposed to behind them?
Spaghetti code is a pejorative phrase for difficult-to-maintain and unstructured computer source code. Code being developed with poor structure can be due to any of several factors, such as volatile project requirements, lack of programming style rules, and software engineers with insufficient ability or experience.[1]

Code that overuses GOTO statements rather than structured programming constructs, resulting in convoluted and unmaintainable programs, is often called spaghetti code.[2] Such code has a complex and tangled control structure, resulting in a program flow that is conceptually like a bowl of spaghetti, twisted and tangled.[3]

In a 1980 publication by the United States National Bureau of Standards, the phrase spaghetti program was used to describe older programs having "fragmented and scattered files".[4]

Spaghetti code can also describe an anti-pattern in which object-oriented code is written in a procedural style, such as by creating classes whose methods are overly long and messy, or forsaking object-oriented concepts like polymorphism.[5] The presence of this form of spaghetti code can significantly reduce the comprehensibility of a system.[6]
Your entire defense of the obviously problematic grapple drag mechanic rests on adding extra mechanical hooks to dragging the grappled target that do not exist in the RAW. You are literally declaring that it's ok while trying to patch the problem with a secondary solution hooking into the RAW grapple drag rather than admitting that the grapple drag RAW itself is badly written as printed and is the section that requires an errata.
Looking at the rules with a cooler head, and not assuming that the writers of those rules are idiots, will lead to better results for you. That's my hot tip.
You are creating and inserting implied motives and competency where none was assigned. The closest to that is where I literally quoted with link to wotc's own preview and noted that wotc thought that was ok to design as well as hype. If wotc did not feel that was ok, it wouldn't have been written.

Yeah, I'm familiar with what spaghetti code means, thanks. My background is software architecture. It looks like I dropped in a metaphor that went over your head. I was trying to entertain you, not make you look dumb.

Well, no. The patching here is the declaration that dragging someone in that manner is RAW. Everyone else is going by the rules, common sense and playing nice with others.

RAW doesn't care about the unwritten natural language common sense extension to RAW you are building atop. All that will matters at the table Is that Bob will see the gm as changing yet another of the rules to nerf his or another player's PC.

Of course with an errata the gm can just point to it and say "don't be mad at me rule is right there" or " rejoice because I'm going to let you be more awesome than the rules normally allow"... In the first case the errata is incapable of having feelings over Bob's reaction and in the second Bob can be glad because his GM is letting him be extra cool.

I mean…if Mr potato showed up in your kitchen and his eyes moved to fix on you…

The horror…the horror…
So instead of Chucky we have Peeler? Out for revenge for all the potatoes skinned over the centuries? Maybe Mr Chopper, he slices, he dices, he even makes Julian fries ... from you!

RAW doesn't care about this unwritten, unrealistic approach to dragging either.

If someone brings this approach to the table, frankly they are looking to cause problems. Who has time for that? Someone, go find another game to bother.
