Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

So to recap:

I don’t really like what I like. Deep down I like what you like but don’t know it. My intentions are also not what I think but you “know” what I am really thinking. Maybe we can talk it out? Or:

They're deploying the patch starting at noon tomorrow. It should complete around 4:00 PM so that everyone has "plenty of time" to test before the end of the day.

I really hope we don't need help from the vendor techs, it's all I'm saying.
So, they started the patch yesterday at noon, because I'm not the only person at work who doesn't like working on my off days. Two hours were allocated for the installation.

I left the call at 5PM. My services weren't at that time required, but the actual patch had only been started at 4PM because it turned out there were interim steps the vendor hadn't told us about that needed to be done.

I got to this morning to messages asking me to rejoin. The patch is stuck at 26%. After reboot, it got to 26% and got stuck again, so it's a definite issue.

I am so glad we started this on Thursday and not Friday evening.

I wonder if it's like a Microsoft percentage; Takes 5 minutes to get to 26% and then 4 hours to get to 27%.

I just learned of the existence of mate tea. Dunno why I'd never heard of it before, but, well, there it is. Haven't tried it but, was wondering if anyone had. It's not tea - as in it's not made from tea leaves but from something called a yerba tree. Is it something I should look for? The pictures I saw looked kinda neat.

Apologies as this might be border-line politics posting..

But there's an account on X I follow that's a parody of a California State Representative. I'm pretty certain the profile says "PARODY" and if you Google his "District", it doesn't exist. It's pretty blatantly a joke.

But boy oh boy does it fly over the heads of the people in his replies. The comments are often funnier than the posts themselves. People on both sides of the aisle take him entirely seriously and get all sorts of mad about it.
There was a radio show(and now a podcast I think) done by Phil Hendrie. What he would do is have a "guest" on who would say something super outrageous. He and the "guest" would have a little back and forth and then he would open the phone lines up to callers. The thing is, the "guest" was just him doing another voice. Phil is pretty good with voices and could switch back and forth very quickly so it seemed like it really was two people arguing over the topic.

People who were flipping through the stations and hadn't heard his show before(or who didn't get that it was a show) would hear this "argument" and call in to express outrage over the position the "guest" had taken, arguing with the "guest" and usually having support from Phil. It was a really funny show.

I've heard of it by the name cimarron. But never tried it.

Couple of years back got introduced to rooibos. It's an African herbal tea. No caffeine. Love it. I usually have it with oat milk.nIt's a good sleepy time tea.

It is often referred to as "yerba mate" on US packaging.
I'm not a fan of it myself. I find the flavor to be... grassy? Vegetal?

It is often pretty bitter if you steep it in hot water, but some people (say, coffee people) like the bitterness. Note that some preparations of mate have more caffeine than coffee, unlike most tea.

More than ten years ago, when Teavana was still around, they had a Zingiver Ginger Rooibos tea. That stuff is amazing, and I still have a quarter-container I'm saving because I don't know where (or if) I'll ever find more.
