Zorn look from Logan to Garagos and back again. With a hint of annoyance in his voice, he asks;

Well, are we staying in tonight or outside in the swamp again? It matters little to me except that we should all stay together. If we camp inside, we all camp inside and not just the Gnomes and Dwarves.

Harrison looks to all that have spoken and then rubs his head. he turns around and returns back to the camp outside, letting the trapspringer do her work. he will keep a diligent watch for any threats in the swamp in the mean time.

"Well, I guess we know how Harrison feels about it. I won't let him stay out there alone this night. If you decide to stay in the tomb, someone should come and get us, please." And with that, Logan moves out to join Harrison.

Jillian finds and disables 5 pit traps along the corridor. Once they have been secured the group can explore the corridor in relative safety. The first area of interest is two jackal-headed human figures in a paintingare portrayed as if holding bronze chest—which is real, and protrudes slightly into the corridor! The chest is hinged on the bottom so as to allow the lid to swing down.

Grackle "Grubeater" Granitetop, gnome sorcerer 9

Grackle watches his summoned rocks do their work for a minute, then notices that everyone else has disappeared by the time his rocks do. All except Jill, still poking around at floors and such. 'Hmmm. That not good. AIIEEE hurty things!' he thinks, running off towards the entrance. "Where peoples go? Hey peoples!!!" he says frantically, running out, and bumping into someone's leg as he careens out of the cave in a panic. "Oof!"

"Hey why'd ya all dis'peareded?!?! Silly big man say something 'bout the walls so's I checked 'em! Then everyone POOF! How's you get out here?" he says quickly after standing back up. The weasel pops out from his pack again and squeaks out something to him, which he responds to with squeaks of his own. It doesn't seem to be anything intelligible, as the weasel just droops its head and sighs.

Once Jillian has disabled the last of the pit traps she returns to where the others had been waiting. Without even paying attention as to who is around she reports her progress. She gesters as she speaks. "Disabled pit traps there, there, there, there and there. Now I will start checking out the interesting murals." She then moves to the first point of interest, the jackel-headed humans flanking the chest. She will first thoroughly search the area before even thinking of touching anything.

OOC: What exactly do you instruct the elementals to do? Is your intention to find secret doors, traps that sort of thing?

Jillian easily finds and disables a poison needle trap on the top of the box. Once that is done she depresses a catch and the bottom opens, but she is disappointed to discover that the box seems to be empty. At least nothing falls out and looking up she doesn't see anything inside.

Ballista, HP48/48, AC 24/29vRanged(FF19/24vR-T15/20vR) F5 R13 W6

Ballista looks out at the exposed campsite then back into the cave entrance. "Well at least if we pull the camp into the mouth of the hallway, we can limit the angles of attack that any roving beasties can see us from." She walks back into the opening of the cave. Seeing Jillian working away on the little bronze chest in the wall, Ballista grabs her nose again. "Jillsie, if you set off a trap nobody can heal you. All that stuff's been there for years, so 1 more year isn't gonna make a difference, lets pack it in for the day and hit it fresh at first light." Then the bottom of the chest drops open and the elf trains her bow on it for a moment as she drops to one knee on the wall. "Ok showoff take it easy."

harrison is non plushed when the goffy gnone runs into his leg. He even smiles at the sight of granite top to see that he is presently safe and sound ... presently. Jillian soon retuns to those outside and gives her report which promps him to re-enter the tomb. Upon watching the trap removal specialist open the bottom of the brass chest he comments, "well, I see there is no false bottom, perhaps a false top, then?"
