Scotley's Tomb of Horrors 3.5

(ooc: Grackle told the earth elementals to search the wall and the floor near it, and tell him where any holes are around there. Basically so he'd know where pits or other empty spaces inside the wall and floor would be. That'll help us locate any such secret spaces and investigate them. Grackle intends to crawl down some holes and see what they hold, with his Cloak of Arachnida.)

"If we do as Ballista suggests and await first light to continue our exploration of the tomb, then I shall go ahead and distribute my remaining healing for the day. Who wants some, then?"

Garagos, AC 29 (T19, FF27), HP 90/107, DR 3/-, F +11,R+6,W+10

"This Ballista is a really good idea. I was about to suggest the same. At least one wall to shield us." Garagos comments Ballista's words.

To Logan he says: "Nice offer, but when you have to pray? Maybe we should save some of your magic for a possible nightly assault."

After opening the box she turns to Ballista. "Hmmm!? I suppose you are right. Now that you mention it I am getting a bit sleepy. Perhaps now would be a good time to rest." She looks back toward this entrance. "We can make camp here in this entrance. I have searched the area thoroughly and am convinced of its safety."

Good point, Garagos! But I can convert my Darkness spell into a cure, because, after all, it will already be dark toinight. And I can give up my Owl's Wisdom, too, because it is already patently obvious that I am going through with this unwise venture!

OOC: So that's 2 2nd level spells converted to Cure Moderate Wounds for Garagos and Logan. One, cure moderate wound on Garagos, and one on Logan, too. (2d8+9=11, 2d8+9=23) So that's 11 hp for Garagos (puts him at 101/107, think that'll hold him?) and 23 for Logan. What a waste! I should have done them in the other order.

Hearing Ballist give her report of safety with confidence, Harrison speaks up and says he will take a watch.

"I will also take a watch, but it needs to be the last watch, so that I can get enough sleep to restore my spells and then take time for prayer before my watch begins. Whoever has the watch prior to mine, please wake me up an hour early so that I can tend to these matters before my watch begins." And Logan will look about to see where in this place the softest rocks are.... (for his pillow, you know)

Ballista keeps the vigilant watch while everyone is getting situated, sitting still as a statue from a perch high up on the wall. "All right folks I'll take the first watch. Yous all get some shut eye before any more beasties pick up our scent. We could probably hazard a fire as long as its back from the entrance a ways to keep everyone warm out here in the swamplands. We don't know how many more we'll be able to have further into the tomb." She walks out of the cave and comes back a few minutes later with some firewood, and after arranging it just so, hums a few low soft notes for several seconds and the tinder catches light. She then walks back up the wall so that the light of the merrily crackling fire is at her back as she stares out the opening with bow in hand.

She starts to sing the softest of relaxing melodies about ancient battles in her native tongue. The dulset tones seem to pour pure honeyed dreams into the minds of her new companions as they find the most comfortable positions to wile away the night in sleep. Perform (Sing): 23

Harrison points to the hardest rocks visible."That should do just fine for one as pius as you. I will take second watch."
He then takes this time to drift off into sweet dreams of noble battles of valor ...

]note[ Harrison will wake Logan at a resonable time to let him take care of his need for prayer, as logan is in dreadful need of prayer to keep him self counted as the minions of Pelor still. ]/note[

OOC: Goodness! I'm not even sure what to say in response to that last comment, DeWar!
