-An adventure path set in a land where a spaceship (not a Spelljammer magicship, and honest to god, city-sized sci-fi starship) crashed straight into barbarianland and the main villains of the game are artificial intelligences who can grant divine spells to their followers. By far my favorite.
Gads! My problem with them is there's too much bloody story (which I'm 99.9% likely not going to use) and not enough actual adventure.I actually agree with this, I've always found the Pazi adventure paths to be a bit lacking in the storytelling department.
Tiamat? Boring? My big problem ... is that I was never really a fan of the FR setting itself since [it] has you face off against enemies that are really boring (ie Tiamat).
...and sometimes, the story is paragraph after paragraph of stuff that doesn't actually matter to the DM because it doesn't have any impact on what the party is actually encountering, and doesn't actually matter to the players because their characters have no means to learn about it nor practical application of that information if they do get it.Gads! Tiamat is however boring the DM chooses to make her.Tiamat? Boring?
And I'd say there is a chance @Space Jockey meant "boring" more along the lines of "overused and I'm tired of her," which I personally find to be the case.
Ya got me there! I agree with what you're saying here (along with Maxperson). I guess it's just that I didn't like that (though I didn't realize it until this moment), which is strange because I loved it in Mystara/Known World. So it must be a taste thing. Maybe? The thing is, as others pointed out, Golarion is a faaaaaar wider setting as themes goes than Faerün. Note, that I like Faerün and OotA seems very nice.
