I could see that. But, schools are fairly pushy about the concept of the earth not being flat.

Ah, back to the old tradition of creating a multiverse that supposedly encompasses all the settings, then carving out exceptions for half the settings so they can have their own cosmologies.

Actually, according to the text, that's pretty much all of the world.

"Compared to most worlds of the Material Plane, the mortal realm of Theros is small. The known world is barely two hundred miles across, with unexplored wilderness beyond. And some unknown distance beyond that is the edge of the world, where the sea flows off the disk of the world and into the starry void. "

Nice, they did some good research into the actual ancient Greek calendars. Lunisolar calendars with intercalary months were universal in ancient Greece, and very widespread in general until Caesar came along...

How are the subclasses. And the athlete background.

The subclasses seem okay, and the athlete background is good.
The bard got a nerf, and can't talk to animals until level 6.
Glory paladins got a huge nerf, and no longer get an increased critical hit as a channel divinity, and now have a divine smite/temporary hit point ability.
Athlete has Athletics and Acrobatics, land vehicles, and one language.

Goddamnit. The classes were too good from the off. And then they dropped the hammer on them.

Athlete has Athletics and Acrobatics, land vehicles, and one language.
