I was eight when it came out, but didn't play till I was nine or ten - it was somewhere close to my birthday but I'm not positive which side of it. Things didn't spread as fast back then.

Still came in through wargames like older grognards though. Started gaming with a teacher's copy of Jutland when I was seven, and the first games I bought for myself with allowance money were Ogre and Chitin: I.

When I was your age, I had a toddler. Luckily he grew up to play D&D with me.

It it true when old people talk about time flying though.
I now have a campaign with my three kids. One had no interest initially and then jumped in with her siblings and uncle—my bro.

Getting older is not all great but offers some new D&D vistas!

I am hoping to play again soon too…so many characters to try too!
