Is it that you want me to offend 1337, or that you don't support my distaste for l33t?

At the risk of playing into your dastardly plan, I am completely confused about both. Please enlighten me, so that I too may be able to bask in the glory of 1337 and dislike l33t. ;)

35) Have your PCs encounter a man on the back of a horse wearing nothing but a rubber glove on his head screaming "I'm a squid! I'm a squid!". He then points to the party and zaps them. They then wake up in a rice field in Kara Tur completely naked.

(yes this is actually how a friend of mine started a campaign)

1337/l33t/leet, is this strange thing that some computer gamers do. It's the practice of using different letters and numbers in the place of the correct letters. From what I've seen, 'S', becomes z when at the end of the word, and often times 5 is used, since they look similar. 1337= l e e t. the 1 looks like an l, the 3's look like e's, and the 7 looks like a T. If there's anything I've gotten wrong perhaps some of the "1337 h4xx0r2" out there can correct me. ;)
