[4e] The Dustbowl (IC)

Looking more aware, but still in calm mannerisms, than any of his companions have observed him to be in, Roithe immediately flows into the unexplored ruins. He seems to be muttering to himself, something along the lines of, "Bane of my existance..." but it's far too intense a situation for anything legible to be coming from his mouth. His eyes quickly fix on the second skeleton, being the closer of the two, and he shouts at it with a foreign tongue, lunging his arm out to throw a bolt of dark green fury.

[sblock=OOC]

Did'nt think we would run into undead this early XD
Undead play a huge role on Roithes ability to retain his warlock powers, and also his amnesia. As a worshiper of The Raven Queen, he deems it necissary at all costs to seek out and brutally murder all undead and the people who raise them (Also fueled by his hatred for causing his amnesia) FORESHADOWING :O

Just a note, for people who are wondering.

Also, I have some character sheet errors. The format I used forgets to add my +2 to all skills for half level and does'nt let me change the final result because it does'nt mant me to mess up it's "superior math" skills.
And I messed up my prof bonus for melee attacks. +7 instaed of +4.
Other than that theres nothing wrong with it. (For now anyway...)

Caden takes a moment to assess the situation through the dust before he rushes in. He knows that his sharp blade works best with the advantage of surprise or where a distraction can be leveraged.

With Stick's announced intentions, the halfling waits to see the results before rushing in. (ooc: delay until Stick's actions)

With the zone of blazing stars in place, Caden hustles forward and checks the interior of the ruins.

1. If something is in the ruins, then Caden will throw his dagger at it and stay where he is; or

2. If nothing is there, then Caden will maneuver to the other side of the building before launching a dagger at the closest skeleton.

[sblock=ooc]Delay until Stick finished,
Move action to H11, Perception check (1d20+9=14),
Standard action Deft Strike (at will): move to K11 and throw dagger at nearest skeleton (reduce atk roll by 2 if target 6+ squares away) Atk v AC 18, dmg 24
AC 30 vrs opportunity attacks for movement during Deft Strike
Combat advantage via First Strike = +2 atk bonus and sneak attack dmg (1d20+15=18, 1d4+9+2d6=24)[/sblock]

unsure what to make of the Skeletons, Rashka strides in.
Cheers, bony buddies. I don't suppose you could point us in the right direction? Counteract, waits for the undead's reaction, hoping they are sentient and goodly creatures.

[sblock=OOC]

Move G12

Standard Readied Action, If the Skelly's are hostile, 24 vs reflex on the first melee hostile Skeleton. If this hits target takes -2 all defenses, and the next ally to hit gains 9 hit points (2 from power+4 cha mod+1 healers brooch, +2 Healers implement) (Should this also include healers lore?)

As if the heaven's obey him, the stars begin to rain down upon the two skeletons and the mangled body. One skeleton (BN2) beings howling in pain as the stars impact his bones and Stick notices that the searing light also inflict extra torment on its undead body. The other skeleton (BN1) is able to artfully dodge the impending celestial bodies and snarls wickedly.

Mialucus moves toward the collapsed building and peers inside. Even with a thorough look, there is nothing that he can see inside the building. Caden joins him quietly and seeing nothing, vaults past the entrance way and hurls a dagger through the air as another whirling blade from Mialucus. Both blades hit the skeleton at nearly the same time knocking him off his balance and shattering a few bones. Looking weak but unrelenting, the skeleton howls in a mixture of rage and pain (BN2 is bloodied), but becomes mostly pain as a large bolt of dark green Eldritch impacts the skeleton. Looking bruised and covered in unholy fire, the skeleton and its ally next to it go on the attack. The skeleton who dodged the starfall so deftly (BN1) shifts underneath the ground and furrows its way underneath Stick as the heavily damage skeleton (BN2) does the same, but moves underneath Roithe As they move, bony hands jut up from the gound just before the skeletons appear on the surface, flames licking both of them from leaving the starfall area. The burst from Rashka’s holy hands impacts the undamaged skeleton squarely as he surfaces, but does not deter it from sending swirling bones into the air around him, attacking Stick and Roithe. The skeleton that appeared next to Roithe does the same attack with Roithe and Stick as the target.

[sblock=BN1 & BN2 Attack]

BN1 – Move to G8. Bone Furrow on Stick. 7 vs. Fortitude . Miss horribly and BN1 now has -2 to all defenses from Rashka’s attack. Bone Cyclone on Stick; ( 14 vs. Reflex . 12 Necrotic Damage .) You are pushed back on square and knocked prone (shown on map). Bone Cyclone on Roithe 12 vs. Reflex . Miss.

BN2 – Move H2. Bone Furrow on Roithe. 11 vs. Fortitude Miss. Bone Cyclone on Stick 17 vs. Reflex . 12 Necrotic Damage. Bone Cyclone on Roithe. 23 vs. Reflex . 12 Necrotic Damage . You are now pushed back one square and knocked prone (shown on map).
[/sblock]

With a sudden flash, Mialucus teleports directly behind the damaged skeleton and strikes him with his sword. 28 vs. AC for 10 Damage .

The skeletons from behind the wall peek around the corner of the wall and each hurls a small orb. Both burst into flames as one approaches Roithe and the other aims squarely at Caden!

[sblock=BS1 and BS2 Attack]

BS1 – Stays where it is (partial cover). Flame orb attack on Roithe. http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2223336/] 16 vs. Reflex. [/url] Miss.

BS2 – Stays where it is (partial cover). Flame orb attack on Caden. ] 17 vs. Reflex. Miss. [/sblock]

[sblock=Combat Setup After Round 1]

Dustbowl_RuinedCityRound1.jpg

The next round is a go! Remember, standing up from prone is a move action, so Roithe and Stick both need to stand up (unless they want to remain prone). Currently, both Stick and Mialucus have combat advantage (unless they move of course). You guys have done some heavy damage to BN2, he might drop very soon. A couple of things to remember;

1. Please post the name of the action and the roll result along with the linkback. Sort of the way that I’ve done it with the monster attacks. This way if Invisible Castle is down I can still resolve the actions. If I've made a mistake, please let me know and I will correct it.

2. Everyone may take an action now before the monsters act. However, I would like to ask that if two people have posted their actions, the third hold off until I have a chance to post and resolve their actions. This will make it easier for people to change their actions if you happen to drop a monster halfway.

Astonished by the apparent toughness of the skeletons, Caden realises that his skills are needed there, and that the orb tossing skeletons can wait.

He tosses his dagger at the badly damaged skeleton and maneuvres towards the orb-tossing skeletons.

Stick Smash the one near Mialucus(BN1) Rashka Hollers, It'll feel good! Caden, finish off the other! (BN2) directs Rashka, This is no more difficult than that undead village! Mialcus keep them both busy! Rashka waits behind the building, the right moment would present itself...

[sblock=OOC]

Delay, Rashka will step in if anyone goes unconscious, otherwise, step in just after Stick.

Caden throws his dagger hard at the weakened skeleton and watches blissfully as the dagger impacts its head through the eye socket, taking the head clean off. (BN2 is killed!)

With a whir and a cloud of dust to boot, Caden somersaults himself near the wall, close to the skeletons throwing a flaming orb.

Rashka guards his comrades closely from behind the building, waiting for the perfect time to strike.

"REVENGE," - Mialucus dives through a slash in space, reappearing directly behind the damaged skeleton - "is sweet." He strikes with a well-aimed blow, bone-chips flying. The damn thing is *still* standing though.

"Ambitious fellow," wrily comments the elf. But then...

Mialucus twirls his blade, grinning salute to the halfling's skill, then slashes forwards at the remaining squeleton, the too wide move leaving him open to attack... he's ready to dodge back when the attack does come, drawing his adversary with him and away from the casters -- but then sands slips under his foot and the move IS actually too wide, ineffective. The elf dances away.

"Face me, twig!"

The mask *growls*, deep in its non-existant throat.

[sblock=Actions]Standard = Luring Strike Int vs AC against BN1 1d20+11=14 for 1d8+2=5 damage, shift BN1 to G9 while Mialucus shifts to F9 then E9. If a miss, Mialucus will shift to F10, please. Frees up Rashka's line of effect and the Skeleton will either have to follow (and take Starfall damage) or make an attack that doesn't include Mialucus. Good either way.

Minor = Mark BN1 (Forgot to mention it last time, but if the attack does not include Mialucus, then it's at -2 tohit. Sorry about that, first time playing a Swordmage and all).[/sblock][sblock=Mini Stat]

Stick shakes his head to clear the cobwebs, the dragonborn dimisses the summoned plate and stands up, leaning on his staff heavily.

Spitting out some blood after he bit his tongue on the way down, Stick looks on them with anger. "You shall continue to feel the burning starbursts creatures!" as the sorceror continues his assault on them.

As one skeleton crumbles to the ground, the other skeleton seems not to want to give up without a fight. Resisting both the call of Mialucus’s blade and the heavens crashing down upon it, the skeleton grins menacingly and sends out a loud shriek into the night sky.

[sblock=Action Summary]

Both Mialucus and Stick’s attack missed. It’s not Roithe’s turn. Current stats are still the same. [/sblock]
