I'd add that in addition to the class mechanics, broadly, A5E is a game that provides for a number of quality of life changes (QoL) to the experience 5th edition (2014 & 2024) attempts to paint. You have subsystems you can take advantage of like Supply, massaging of spells, retooling of magic items, exhaustion rules, legends & lore of monsters, as well as avenues which constructively encourage more interaction between players during the exploration & social portions of your play.
Of course, since the Player's book for 2024 is the first core rule book available, some of these may be addressed in 5e2024's rule set. But if I were to base my assumption on what people have said regarding what changes have occurred for players in the Player's Handbook, I would be surprised if the later rule books provide as many comprehensive choices.
