[Adventure] Squash Those Bugs! (DM: Dekana, Judge: ?)

OOC: How can Neil post twice, when its his turn, without posting his character's actions?

OOC: Look Vertexx69, I was hoping I could have a go without being opportunity attacked for moving too much. Looks like I can't manage that, what with everybody else's eventual positions and this being very much a melee orientated character. I'll crack on with something anyway. EDIT: PierceSG left me room.

[sblock=actions]Move action: Labraundos moves from J7 to O7 N7. This proves an opportunity attack from Dragon Shield 1 as he leaves N7 where Ashurn is .

I don't know the MBA is for this, so I can't really roll it.

Standard Action: Valiant Strike at Dragon Shield 1 - Total to Hit = 17. Damage would be 14, but I think that is a miss.

Valiant Strike (At-Will Standard Melee Weapon 1 ✦ Divine, Weapon)
Attack: +6 (with a +1 bonus per enemy adjacent to you) vs. AC (Greataxe).
Hit: 1d12+4 damage

Minor Action: Mark the Dragon Shield 1 with Divine Challenge.

Divine Challenge (At-Will Minor Close Burst 5 ✦ Divine, Radiant)
Target: One creature in burst
Effect: You mark the target. The target remains marked until you use this power against another target or if you fail to engage the target (meaning either you attack the target or end your turn adjacent to the target; if none of these events occur by the end of your current turn, the marked condition ends and you can’t use Divine Challenge on your next turn). A creature can be subject to only one mark at a time. A new mark supersedes a mark that was already in place. While a target is marked, it takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls for any attack that doesn’t include you as a target. Also, the target takes 3 radiant damage the first time each round that it makes an attack that doesn't include you as a target before the start of your next turn.
Special: Even though this ability is called a challenge, it doesn’t rely on the intelligence or language ability of the target. It is a magical compulsion that affects the creature’s behaviour, regardless of the creature’s nature. You can’t place a Divine Challenge on a creature that is already affected by you or another character’s Divine Challenge.

Incidentally, I noticed that Emsy has this Immediate Interrupt power which might very prove useful, please.

Virtue of Prescience (Encounter Immediate Interrupt )

OOC: yeah sorry it didn't work out for you, but you were the only one that hadn't acted yet this round. It works out that way sometimes however, that's why my rageblood fighter in living eberron switched to a reach weapon. Keeping a charge lane open is nearly impossible in PbP.

OOC: Hey guys, I'm back from stasis, thanks a lot for putting up with an inactive character (approx 1 month I think). Exams are over and I have tons of spare time now. I'll be reading up the thread now ^^.

OOC: Oops! Neil, I might have missed your post. I have revised my last action to not shift back to N7. And welcome back treex.

OOC: Some of my thoughts on what's happened so far. I'm really sad that I didn't get to RP in the skill challenge *sob* Otherwise, everything seems to be swell and I'm eager to get back into the action. That said, Staggering Note is my go-to power currently since Lenyara has such a high attack roll.
NEil Yes, if you may recall, I used Virtue of Prescience to save Lenyara against that poison attack very early in the adventure.

The kobold that Lenyara battered into the ground rises to his feet and shrieks, "I'm not dying for Boss!" He then drops his mace, which hits the ground with a loud clank, and then runs off to the east.

The kobold in hide armor shouts in Draconic at his fleeing companion as he runs past, obviously annoyed. This kobold then conjures another orb of necrotic energy and hurls it at Labraundos, but the spell bounces harmlessly off a tunnel wall.

Labraundos finds that the kobold he engaged is eager to take him up on his challenge. He surprises Labraundos with an upper-cut like slash of his shortsword and scores a lucky hit against the paladin. Meanwhile, the other shielded kobold takes his mining pick to Lenyara. He whiffs horribly and instead strikes the tunnel wall, dislodging a fair sized piece of rock in the process.

The female kobolds continue their flurry of strikes against Lenyara, this time landing several hits. Wincing, Lenyara looks down and realizes that she is bleeding profusely from her wounds.

GM: The PCs are up!

Hallway Round 3
Nicodemus, Human
Warlock 1 (Partial Concealment UENT)
30/30 HP (4THP)

Nicodemus move up again, as a bobbing orb of arcane energy collapses over his gawky frame. The jagged bolts that tear out of his dark eyes arc up over his massive and fuzzy meat shield, crashing full into the same dragon shield he targeted before. The other dragon shield also becomes cursed, the pair of alien skulls laughing silently to each other as they drip cursed shadows onto the kobold defenders. "Just needed a little space to aim apparently. Might want to heal Len soon, Emsy. And slide him out of there too, if you can, so we can educate them in a few of the finer points, of the subtle art, of aerial bombardment."

Damage Summary: (Total damage if all attacks hit)
Dragon Shield 1 19 arcane dmg[/sblock]

OOC: Might be a good time for the Virtue of Presience from Emsy- that would make the second hit from Slyblade 2 into a miss, which would also cut out the ongoing. More healing would be good too. Just sayin'...

OOC: Coming right up, preventing any save-ends effects are one of my priorities, so I tend to look out for it. If I miss it in the future though, don't hesitate to point it out.

EDIT: Is it a legal move to push the DragonShield1 to Q7, then slide Lenyara diagonally to P7? My guess is yes, and it wouldn't provoke OoA either, but I'm just checking.
