An Old Classic - Haste, And How To Handle It

2) Keep track of where downed opponents fall. Those squares can be considered difficult terrain which means double movement through them and no 5 foot step into them.
I disagree, based on the following in the SRD (my emphasis italisized):

Moving through a Square
Opponent

You can’t move through a square occupied by an opponent, unless the opponent is helpless. You can move through a square occupied by a helpless opponent without penalty. (Some creatures, particularly very large ones, may present an obstacle even when helpless. In such cases, each square you move through counts as 2 squares.)

Thats awful rough JR!

The Haste spell in my game fatigues [instantaneous, non dispelable] recipients until they consume a day's worth of food and water. The Spell hides the fatigue while it operates.

Go Go Wally West!

Im gonna steal this. Then just give a straight extra attack, full attack or no, to compensate,

But, they do see it (energy sub.) in their SRDs. And, a better version than in their Complete Arcanes. ;)
What the... really?

I only see it in the "Divine" section of the SRD. Again - I don't think they see it in their PHBs.

One could almost....I say again almost argue that it should therefore double the five foot step since its technically a land movement.
No. It's land movement, but it doesn't mention a speed, so there is no speed to double.

Not even close, actually. :)

You have a land speed of some value. It doesn't matter how fast as long as it's greater than 5ft.
It doesn't even have to be greater than 5 ft. If you hand a speed of 5 ft, haste would double it to 10 just fine. 5 ft step doesn't, however.

Energy Sub is in Complete Arcane (or whatever book) and as revised in 3.5 from the Tome and Blood, it removes sonic substitution.

However, if you use the SRD which is basically the Deities and Demigods with 3.5 revision material, they failed to remove sonic susbstitution.

That's a significant difference, and both are technically 3.5 compliant. Obviously, most people who play F2F go with the book feat, but there are many PBP games where only SRD is allowed. :)

Good point. I was thinking that you cannot take a 5ft-step if your speed is only 5ft, but you cannot have a speed of less than 10ft if you have haste active. :)
