Angel 02/18 (spoilers probably)

I was afraid of this one, cause of the Puppets. But, I have to saved I really liked it.

The Puppets made a good backdrop for some good character advancement.

And the Angel Puppet was very funny.

The lead puppet was very freaky, though. It seemed like every line he had for the kids was... suggestive.

"Come over here and touch it!"

He was also expressing far too much pleasure when the kids touched the tv.

Still, very good episode. Liked seeing Nina again.
Demons enjoyed that kind of things...when snacking on life forces

I think the fact that she was there without actually waking up and being there and then gone said enough. She came to say her goodbyes to everyone and help Angel out one more time. They probably dealt with it while they were out drinking that night.
"Angel...what's wrong?"

He tells them everything at the bar.

Gunn makes the toast, Fred is wiping away her tears...everyone else, does a silent salute to a wonderful friend.

Angel, mutters under his breath...a final thanks and goodbye..with this following, " I love you."

The screen goes dark...

I loved how Angel's entrance on to the puppet show set in the climax turned it from a seemingly innocent kid's show to a violent, profanity-laced hackfest. It almost seemed like kind of a statement on children's television today, but maybe I'm just reading too much into it.

I wasn't really bothered by no mention of Cordelia's death. If it is enough to say that it happened off-camera, that would be good enough for me. But really, the whole point of her "appearance" was to help her friends come to realize what THEY had become, not to have a big joyous reunion. The important dynamic in episode #100 was between Angel and Cordy, and that was resolved quite touchingly. I think it would have been overkill to see how Fred felt about it, for instance, and wouldn't have really added much.

I figured Angel came down to the bar fashionably late, said "She's gone," and that's that.

I was really afraid that the episode would be crappy cheese but I ended up really liking it. Now we now what THe Muppets woudl look like if directed by Tim Burton.

In an interview earlier this year Joss Whedon said that he knew that there was a chance that Angerl would not be coming back after this year. So he wrote and ending to the season that tied up the current storyline. I'm assuming by this the "Gang" working at Wolfram & Hart. Hopefully he had time to actually come up with something that will also help wrap up the entire show and not just leave us hanging.
