That's funny
Okay, it won't hurt to give a peek at it.
I won't say the name of it just yet, but with the demise of Dragon and Dungeon magazine in a printed format, a great many others and myself, are left wanting a magazine to be shipped to them in the mail.
I am putting the finishing touches on a new magazine. I wanted to premiere it at GenCon, but with trouble here in Minnesota with the bridge collapse, we are missing a friend of a friend of the family and not sure if she is in the river or not, I find myself unable to make it to Gen Con this year. You have to support your friends.
Coupled that with the fact that the magazine is at least a month away from print and the best I think I can handle right now is a flyer.
So, I was going to hand out flyers pimping the website for the magazine to build interest.
I love the people at ENWorld, so I offered Morrus free advertising in the magazine if he wanted it. This is also something that I would place on the flyer, an ENWorld logo or something, thus kind of why I was waiting to see his response to my e-mail. I didn’t want to bring it up here, but maybe you didn’t get my e-mail? Whatever you decide, it is all good. Just trying to give back.
If you are still thinking about it, that is fine, but I have to go to print on the flyers by Monday, so free advertising is yours, if you want it.
Anyway, the magazine is subtitled, “a magazine for gamers; by gamers.” The magazine is intended to bring articles back to the glory days of D&D. It will contain articles written by gamers, not industry professionals. Not to say that I would pass up the chance to have a professional writer host an article or two. I just wanted the feel of content that the earlier magazines had. So far, myself and three other ENWorlders are writing all of the articles. I hope to take submissions from others too, once the magazine begins. I won't give away any more, you need some surprises.
So, there it is. You won’t get the title out of me just yet, but know you know what it is.
